📢 Exciting News! 🎉

I recently completed training in manual therapy using the Mulligan Concept, a world-renowned approach to pain relief and functional improvement. This hands-on therapy combines mobilization with movement, offering gentle, effective solutions for various conditions.

Which can help with:
✅ Joint Pain – in areas like the neck, back, shoulders, elbows and more.
✅ Sports Injuries – recover faster and move pain-free.
✅ Headaches and Dizziness – often linked to neck dysfunction.
✅ Muscle Stiffness – regain full range of motion.
✅ Postural Issues – relieve discomfort caused by poor alignment.

If you're struggling with pain or limited movement, let’s explore how this therapy can benefit you. 💪

Feel free to message me for more details or to book a session! 🙌

Why it comes❓️And how to get rid of it⁉️

Causes and Triggers:

1.Stress: stress can cause muscle tension, leading to back pain. When we are stressed, our muscles tighten, which can result in discomfort or pain.
2.Immune System: a weakened immune system can contribute to back pain because the body is less capable of repairing and maintaining muscle and joint health during such times.
3.Lifestyle Factors: poor posture, prolonged sitting, lack of physical activity, and improper lifting techniques.

When to Seek Professional Help

1.Persistent Pain: If back pain persists for more than a few weeks despite self-care, it’s time to seek professional help.
2.Severe Symptoms: Sudden, severe pain, pain radiating down the leg, or pain accompanied by numbness or weakness are signs that you should consult a healthcare professional immediately.
3.Impact on Daily Life: When back pain interferes with daily activities or sleep, it’s a signal to get professional assistance.

Role of Physiotherapists:

1.Assessment and Diagnosis: diagnose the root cause of back pain, identify whether it’s muscular, skeletal, neurological or due to other underlying conditions
2.Manual Therapy and Massage: can relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote healing
3.Exercise Prescription: strengthen the back, improve flexibility, and prevent future pain

TREATMENT PLAN IN TENNIS ELBOW 💪

➡️Initial Phase (0-2 weeks):

Pain Management: Advise rest and avoidance of aggravating activities. Recommend ice application for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day.

Manual Therapy: Soft tissue mobilization and gentle massage around the affected area to reduce muscle tension and pain.

➡️Rehabilitation Phase (2-6 weeks):

Stretching Exercises: Gentle stretching of the wrist extensors to improve flexibility.

Wrist extensor stretch: Extend the elbow and flex the wrist with the help of the opposite hand, holding for 20-30 seconds, 3-4 times daily.

Strengthening Exercises:

Isometric contractions: Perform pain-free isometric wrist extension exercises against a wall or resistance band.

Eccentric exercises: Slowly lower the wrist into flexion with the help of the opposite hand, gradually increasing resistance.

Functional Training: Gradual reintroduction of work-related tasks with ergonomic adjustments to reduce strain on the elbow. Use of a tennis elbow strap to reduce stress during activities.

➡️Return to Activity Phase (6-12 weeks):

Progressive Loading: Gradually increase the intensity of strengthening exercises. Introduce resistance bands and light weights.

Activity Modification: Educate on proper techniques and ergonomic adjustments both in the workplace and during recreational activities like tennis.

Proprioceptive Training: Incorporate exercises to improve coordination and prevent recurrence. For example, ball exercises focusing on grip strength and wrist stability.

➡️Maintenance Phase (12+ weeks):

Long-term Exercise Program: Establish a home exercise program focusing on maintaining flexibility, strength, and endurance.

Regular Follow-ups: Schedule periodic check-ups to monitor progress and adjust the exercise program as needed.

To Shoe or not to Shoe?👟🥿🧦
What type of shoes to choose that support natural foot development? ⁉️

Feet are the foundation of the entire body in terms of support, balance, posture and overall well-being.

My recommendations on developmental toys for infants 3 - 6 months of age. 🎁👶

Baby at this stage usually starts to:
➡️ reach out and grab toys - 3 month
➡️ hold toys for a longer period of time - 4 months
➡️ change hands when holding toys - 5 month
➡️ roll over (back to tummy first)
➡️ achieve higher position supporting on arms when on tummy
➡️ play with their legs and feet.

Below you can find my suggestions for supporting the development of an infant at this stage.

And as always I recommend minimalist approach, you can find why this is beneficial for kids in the link below ⬇️

My recommendations on developmental toys for infants 0-3 months 👀🎅
First we need to look at what to expect at this stage: 👶
➡️ achieving head control
➡️ strengthening core muscles
➡️ reaching for toys in the middle line
➡️ kicking
➡️ visual fixing and tracking close object and face
➡️ improving arms support when on tummy

Below you can find my suggestions for supporting the development of an infant at this very early stage.

Children need to play, but does it always require toys? 🎠
Have you noticed your children's fascination when playing with boxes or kitchen utensils?📦

This is very unpopular approach these days but study shows that when toddlers have fewer toys in their environment, they play with each toy longer, allowing them to focus more and play more creatively.
I know I'm not making it easier to choose a Christmas gift with this post, maybe next time... ;)🎅
