Doing Good, One Run at a Time

Our Leader, Danny, loves meeting people who are out there doing good in this world — and this morning he went for a run with Joe, who has been running 5K every single day for the last 308 days in honour of his cousin Kitty, who sadly lost her life to a rare form of cancer in 2022.

So far, Joe has raised an incredible £4,595 in Kittys memory, what an unbelievable achievement! He should be super proud of himself.

Petra always loves the Dementia Friendly Warrington group 💜 — and the quiz, of course! 😄

Today, Dipak and Kiran from SADA joined our Still Me DEEP group to share all about Diwali. Everyone really enjoyed their talk before things got a little competitive with a Bonfire Night quiz (not like them at all! 😉).

It was lovely hearing everyone’s stories and the mischief they got up to on Bonfire Night when they were younger! 🎆🎇

Tomorrow will be a fantastic opportunity to go and meet the team face to face and have a chat through with them.

These were just too good not to share!

As soon as Claire left Rock Steady Boxing today, these fang-tastic photos came flying in, and we couldn’t stop smiling!

Especially the one of Sharon, you might remember her from St George’s Day in her full England attire. Well, she’s back, and it’s safe to say she doesn’t just dress to impress… she slays every outfit she puts together!

It’s clear that Sharon takes her style (and her Rock Steady Boxing team) very seriously, and this Halloween, she’s giving “knockout costume” a whole new meaning!

Sharon and the rest of the Rock Steady team, we are so proud of the fight you put up every single day, and the positive impact you have on Claire’s life and ours.

We honestly can’t even begin to tell you how proud we are to be involved with such wonderful people. One of our favourite moments each week is when Petra pops in to tell us what she’s been up to at the Still Me group.

This week gave us a bit of a fright when she walked in with what looked like a nasty head injury — but thankfully, it was all part of the Halloween special she’d been taking part in.

As always, her sense of humour and that brilliant smile of hers made our day.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do here at Mayfield.

Let’s introduce you to Jade

Now… where do we even start with this one?

We have such a robust recruitment process, constantly asking our clients and our team how our new team members are getting on, we need to make sure we are right for each other

Danny (a Massive Arsenal fan ) often refers to Jade as the Granit Xhaka of Mayfield Homecare Services — and for those football fans out there, you’ll know why!

A little while back, Danny sat down with Jade for an open and honest chat. As he always says, “feedback is a gift” — it’s how we grow as individuals and as a team.

Since that day, Jade has absolutely smashed it
She’s gone from strength to strength, and we couldn’t be prouder.

In fact, she’s received FIVE lovely compliments from our clients recently!

Danny even joked in a message saying:
