“WE WILL REMEMBER”

This Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, our wonderful residents and dedicated staff at Statham Manor came together to honour all those who sacrificed so much for us all.

It was an emotional moment, but an important and special one — standing side by side as we reflected and remembered together.

Our residents watched the Remembrance Day parade on television, and we joined the nation in observing the two-minute silence.

“A WELL-DESERVED VISIT TO THE PUB”

After two competitive games of bowling between our wonderful residents, there was only one place they wanted to go next — The Stone Mill Pub on our Myley trip!

Everyone enjoyed delicious pub food, a couple of well-earned drinks, and plenty of laughter as we shared our favourite moments from the bowling trip and our lively karaoke sessions.

“WHAT A DAY!”

By popular request from our wonderful residents, Myley Adventure took us bowling — and what a fantastic time we had! 🎳✨

We shared so many special moments together as everyone tried their best to STRIKE the day. There was laughter, smiles, friendly competition, and so much joy that this lovely group simply didn’t want to stop!

The fun started even before we arrived — our journey there (and back!) turned into a full-on karaoke party. 🎤🚌

A huge thank you to the amazing Mark at Myley, who sang with us, encouraged us, and made the whole trip unforgettable.

Here’s to more adventures, more memories, and more smiles at Statham Manor Care Home. 💙

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new home, Upland Manor Care Home!

Our team has worked tirelessly to create a bespoke, purpose-built luxury care home, perfectly situated in the heart of Northern Moor.

Recently, some of our lovely residents from Ashlands Manor Care Centre — Gwen, Ann, and Joyce — had the opportunity to visit and gave Upland Manor Care Home their seal of approval:

“It’s absolutely gorgeous — there’s nothing I don’t like about it. I’d move in tomorrow if it weren’t for the fact I love my home and life at Ashland Manor!”

This cherished photo captures Margaret with her parents and five siblings, a lively household full of love and laughter.

Growing up as one of six children shaped Margaret’s childhood through the challenges of wartime and rationing, with family always at the heart of it. Later in life, she discovered that one of her sisters wasn’t her biological sibling... A revelation that only deepened her understanding of family and the bonds that truly matter. ✨

🖼️ A Day of Art, Inspiration & Comfort 🚌✨

Our latest Myley trip took us to the incredible Lowry Art Gallery — and what a fantastic day it was!

Our residents were truly captivated by the stunning displays, especially the immersive Lowry 360 room, which sparked wonderful conversations and deep reflections. All three residents on the trip shared how inspired and moved they felt by the artwork 💬💙

After our gallery visit, we stayed local and enjoyed a delicious meal of pie and chips at a well-loved landmark pub, complete with cake 🍰, coffee ☕ and the cosy glow of a roaring open fire 🔥 — the perfect setting to relax and unwind.

We’re already looking forward to the next adventure! 🌟
