Kindness costs nothing, but it can change everything.

A simple check-in, a genuine thank you, or a moment of understanding can make all the difference to someone’s day, especially in the workplace.

World Kindness Day is a reminder that compassion and empathy aren’t just personal qualities, they’re vital parts of a healthy workplace culture. Acts of kindness help to build connection, reduce stress, and create teams where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

Through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and wellbeing workshops, we help employers foster that same culture of care, one where kindness and wellbeing go hand in hand.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who gave their lives.

Remembrance is a moment to pause and reflect, to honour the past and the people who shaped our present. But it can also stir feelings of loss and sadness, especially for those living with grief.

Grief doesn’t always stay outside of work. It can follow us into meetings, conversations, and quiet moments at our desks. As we remember today, it’s important to give space for those emotions and to support one another with kindness and understanding.

Looking out for each other, is not just in our families and communities, but in our workplaces too.

Lest we forget.

Every year, thousands of men delay seeking help for symptoms that could be life-changing or even lifesaving. Whether it’s ignoring a health check or staying silent about stress, too many still feel they have to cope alone.

This Movember, we’re encouraging employers to make men’s health part of everyday conversation. From blood pressure, cholesterol, and prostate checks to support for mental wellbeing, early action makes all the difference.

We provide men with the tools and confidence to take charge of their wellbeing:
• Health assessments and corporate blood testing
• Lifestyle and fitness coaching
• Mental health workshops and awareness training

When men feel supported to look after their health, physically and mentally everyone benefits.

Let’s keep the conversation going this Movember. Learn more on our website https://pamwellbeing.co.uk/core-services/corporate-health/

Today is World Menopause Day, a chance to highlight how menopause and perimenopause can affect life at work and why the right support matters.

Many people experience symptoms such as brain fog, poor sleep, anxiety, and hot flushes, which can impact confidence and productivity. Without understanding and adjustments in place, these challenges can lead to prolonged absence and employees feeling undervalued.

At PAM Wellness, we help employers provide effective support through:

• Menopause awareness workshops for managers and teams

• Employee Assistance Programmes for confidential counselling and advice

• Specialist menopause programme for complex mental health needs

By creating a culture where employees feel supported through every stage of life, businesses can improve retention, reduce absence, and help people thrive.

Out now: Health at Work Report 2025

Sickness absence is rising, but so is the opportunity for employers to make a lasting difference.

Our new Health at Work Report 2025 reveals how increasing stress, financial pressures and workplace demands are affecting employee wellbeing, and how proactive support can help build healthier, more resilient teams.

Key findings include:

• Younger employees turning to unproven AI wellbeing tools

• 1 in 7 employees using drugs or alcohol to cope with stress

• 2 in 5 experiencing sleep difficulties linked to workplace pressure

• 57% want access to mental health counselling, but only 22% currently have it

The report explores what’s driving these challenges and outlines five practical steps every employer can take to reduce absence, improve engagement and boost productivity.

Don’t miss our panel discussion at 9:30am on Tuesday 28 October, with EAPA Chair, Karl Bennet, and PAM Group’s David Umpleby and Nicola Jagielski as they discuss the key findings and recommendations from this year’s Health at Work Report.
