Merry Christmas and a Happy 2026 to all of you.

I'm not going to harp on about 'eating healthily' over Christmas.

It's once a year and, in the great scheme of things, a few days spent taking a walk on the gastronomic wild side isn't going to do anyone any real harm.

Just eat, drink and be merry.... then back on rhe wagon after the festive season πŸŽ…β„οΈβ˜ƒοΈπŸŽ„πŸΊπŸ·πŸ₯‚ πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ»

A couple of additional pounds will soon dissappear when you get back to your regular routine.

Weight gain and loss of bone density are two common menopausal/post menopausal symptoms.

Both can helped considerably by a consistent, progressive weight training program.

I specialise in more mature clients and I work from an exclusive studio in Warrington, WA5.

I don't have any members and I don't share with any other trainers, so sessions are always completely private.

All sessions are tailored to suit your personal fitness and ability levels. You don't need any prior experience at all.

You can even share your sessions with a friend at no extra cost of you prefer to.

You know the saying "you are what you eat"? It's true, quite literally.

Almost every cell in your body is replaced at some point...

Gut linings - every 4 to 5 days.
Skin cells - every 2 to 4 weeks.
Red blood cells - every 70 to 120 days.
Liver cells - every 6 to 12 months.
Skeletal muscle - up to 15 years.
Bone - about 10 years.

What does your body use to replace thise cells? The nutrients in the food we eat.

We owe it to ourselves to provide our body with the best materials we can.

Weight training and bone density.....

Whenever you lift, push or pull, you're not just building muscle.

Weight bearing exercises like squats, deadlifts and chest pressing also strengthen your bones.

This can be hugely beneficial for those people at risk of losing bone density, such as older people or women during the menopause.

Weight lifting isn't just about looking 'buff', it's about building and maintaining strength from the inside out.
