Happy Earth Day from Wheels for All! 🚲🌏

Today is a chance to reflect on the small changes we can all make to protect our planet and cycling is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to do just that.

At Wheels for All, we see every day how inclusive cycling not only transforms lives, but also supports a more sustainable future. Choosing to cycle, even for short journeys, helps reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, and create greener, healthier communities for everyone.

Our sessions are about more than just getting active, they’re about giving people the opportunity to travel and move in a way that’s kind to both themselves and the environment 💚

This Earth Day, why not swap a car journey for a cycle, explore your local area on wheels, or encourage someone new to give cycling a try? 🌱

She did it! Huge congratulations to Julia for completing yesterday’s Manchester Marathon in support of Wheels for All! 🎉🏃‍♀️

Taking on 26.2 miles is an incredible achievement in itself but doing it in just over 6 hours, decked out in bright colours, glitter, a Wheels for All running vest and a branded cycling hat? That’s next-level dedication and style! ✨

Massive thank you to Julia for going the extra mile (literally!) to support inclusive cycling and help more people experience the joy of cycling. Thank you also to everyone in the crowd who came out to support Julia and every other runner taking on this amazing challenge!

We’re so proud of you 💙👏

Everyday life isn’t designed with everyone in mind — and Wheels for All thinks that needs to change.

Designability has launched The Unfair Index, a UK-wide survey exploring the real-life barriers disabled people, unpaid carers and families face every day.

By taking part, you’ll help build a national picture of what’s most unfair — and where change is most urgently needed. Your experiences will directly shape future solutions, services and inclusive design.

🗣️ If you’re disabled, neurodivergent, or care for someone who is — your voice matters.

📝 Take the survey here: https://theunfairindex.designability.org.uk/

⏰ Deadline: 27 April 2026

Together, we can help create a more inclusive world for everyone 💙

Good luck to Alan and the team! 🚴‍♂️

Next week, Alan and some of our fantastic Pedal Away riders from Court Hey Park will be taking on an incredible 200-mile Coast to Coast challenge — cycling from Southport to Hornsea along the Trans Pennine Trail!

They’re riding to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research — a charity dedicated to funding groundbreaking research to improve diagnosis, treatment and survival rates for men affected by prostate cancer.

This is no small feat, and we’re incredibly proud to see our riders taking on such a powerful challenge for an important cause 💙

Wishing Alan and the whole team the very best of luck — we’ll be cheering you on every mile of the way! 🙌

We had a very special guest at Wheels for All Kingston today… meet the incredible Mia, who is an amazing 101 years old! 🤩

Mia joined us at the Kingston Hub this afternoon and, after first trying one of our wheelchair-accessible cycles, told us she’d love to have a go on a side-by-side cycle too.🚲

As you can see, the team were more than happy to help make that happen—and we’re delighted to say Mia went home with a huge smile after completing a few laps of the track!

A big thank you to Mia for coming along and showing us all that cycling really is for everyone, at any age ❤
