A huge thank you to A1 Flue Systems for their incredibly generous donation of two Hase Kettwiesel adapted cycles to Wheels for All last week 💙🚲

These fantastic cycles will make a real difference to our participants, providing greater stability and confidence for people who may not be able to use a standard two-wheeled bike. Every addition to our fleet helps us welcome more disabled people and those with long-term health conditions to experience the joy and freedom of cycling.

Support like this ensures we can continue breaking down barriers and creating inclusive cycling opportunities in our communities.

Look out for them at a Hub near you! 🙌

Looking to make a difference in your community? 🚲✨

Most of our sessions are starting back up over the next few weeks after our winter closure, and we’re welcoming new volunteers to join us in 2026. While we have many volunteer roles, what you do with us is always shaped around you. We take time to get to know each person, their interests and their needs, so volunteering with Wheels for All is flexible and supportive.

We’d love you to come along to your nearest session, see what we do, have a chat with the team and decide if it’s right for you. No cycling experience needed – just a friendly attitude and a willingness to help.

Make 2026 the year you try something new and give back ❤️

There’s still time to support our SpaceHive campaign to bring a Velo Plus wheelchair-accessible cycle to our Ellesmere Port Hub 💙🚲

This specialist cycle would allow a wheelchair user to be securely attached to the front, making it possible to ride alongside friends, family and carers — sharing the joy of cycling together. For many people, this could be the very first time they’ve had the chance to experience that freedom.

With your support, we’re aiming to:
🚲 Purchase and install the Velo Plus cycle
👥 Deliver 10 fully staffed inclusive cycling sessions
🛠️ Train our staff and volunteers to use it safely and confidently for years to come

If you’ve been meaning to donate, now is the perfect time. Every contribution — big or small — helps us create more inclusive cycling opportunities in Ellesmere Port.

Let’s make it happen together 💙

A huge thank you to Paul and the team from Halfords for visiting our Woking Hub earlier this week! 🙌

It was fantastic to welcome them on site as they carried out maintenance on some of our adapted cycles, helping us keep our fleet reliable and ready for our participants. Their support makes a real difference to the disabled people and those with long-term health conditions who rely on our sessions each week.

We’re proud to be working in partnership with Halfords through the Cycle2Work scheme, helping to open up access to inclusive cycling for more employees and businesses across the UK. Together, we’re breaking down barriers and creating more opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of cycling as an active travel option.

Thank you again, Paul and team, for your continued support! 💙🚲

Today we’re proud to announce a new national pilot to expand inclusive Wheels for All provision for children and young people with SEND ✨

In partnership with Bikeability, and supported by the Department for Transport, we are establishing SEND schools as inclusive cycling mini hubs between January and March 2026.

The pilot will:
🚲 Equip five SEND schools with adapted cycles
🚲 Train 50 Bikeability instructors in inclusive delivery
🚲 Build confidence among school staff
🚲 Embed sustainable inclusive cycling provision

Currently, around 20% of children nationally are identified as having SEND. Around 10% of Bikeability participants are identified as SEND. We want to close that gap.

This pilot allows us to:
✅ Strengthen instructor confidence
✅ Improve access to adapted equipment
✅ Increase SEND school engagement
✅ Capture evidence to shape future national guidance

Huge thanks to Bikeability for their expertise and partnership in shaping this work 🙌

What a fantastic day at our Debdale Park Hub! 🎉

Today’s Wheels for All Open Day was a huge success, with so many smiling faces taking to the track, trying adapted cycles, and experiencing the joy of inclusive cycling at Debdale Park.

We welcomed a lot of new faces to the event as well as some local families - all of whom told us how much fun they had! A hug thank you to our amazing team of staff and volunteers who were on hand throughout the day, ensuring everyone felt supported and celebrated.

Open Days like this are so important. They give people the opportunity to see what inclusive cycling is all about, try a range of adapted cycles, and connect with others in a welcoming, accessible environment.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special — we can’t wait to see you back at future sessions! 🚲💙

We are proud to back British Cycling’s call to government for investment in local cycling facilities! 🚲🙌

The Places to Ride programme has shown what’s possible when local cycling facilities are designed with communities in mind. At Wheels for All Hubs in Doncaster and Colchester, Places to Ride supported activity is already delivering hundreds of thousands of pounds in social value, with particularly strong impact around individual wellbeing and health outcomes linked to Type II diabetes and other disabilities.

We’re backing the call for further investment so more disabled people and families can access safe, welcoming cycling opportunities close to home ✨

A huge thank you and well done to Yunus, one of our incredible maintenance mechanics at Wheels for All 🛠🚲

Over Christmas, Yunus generously gave his time to voluntarily assess several decommissioned adapted cycles, carefully stripping them down for reusable parts and ensuring nothing went to waste. Thanks to his hard work, the recycled metal alone raised over £70 to support our inclusive cycling sessions!

This fantastic effort not only supports our charity financially, but also shines a light on our sustainability mission. At Wheels for All, we are committed to repairing and maintaining our fleet for as long as possible, extending the life of every cycle before recycling them responsibly and sustainably when they reach the end of their journey.

Thank you again Yunus! 🙌🥰
