On Thursday we said a ‘goodbye for now’ to our Thursday cookery group leader Kerry who is taking a step down to spend more time with her family and look after her mum. It’s always a sad day when we see any of our CA team leave but as we always say, it’s just a ‘see you again soon’ as Kerry will be helping to cover holidays. The chefs made meatballs in a rich tomato sauce and it was delicious as always. Like all of our groups, it’s like a small family within a bigger family and they are all so close ❤️. Our Calm Kitchen leader Charlie will be taking over and has already planned a delicious sausage and bean casserole for next week. Thank you so much Kerry for all you’ve done but we’ll see you again soon. 🥰 Thank you as always to our team of super volunteers too who always add something special to our groups. 💜💚 Registered charity 1167842

Celebrating our Members of the Month for February! 🎉

As part of Chinese New Year, which began on 17th February, we’re shining a spotlight on three wonderful members of our community who bring so much joy to Creating Adventures.

Meet Jenny, Gar Wing, and Miu Ying 💚

👉 Jenny was born in the UK and has been part of the CA family for nearly 5 years. She’s incredibly sociable, loves our art sessions, and you’ll often find her at the Members’ lounge chatting with friends.

👉 Gar Wing has been with us for just over 2 years and is always out exploring different groups around Warrington. She’s a regular at our art sessions and brings such lovely energy to everything she does.

👉 Miu Ying loves art and yoga, and recently joined our monthly craft class too. She’s always the first to help with tidying up and her kindness doesn’t go unnoticed.

Gar Wing and Miu Ying may not speak English, but with the support of those around them, there’s absolutely no language barrier when it comes to friendship, creativity, and fun. They’ve settled beautifully into our groups, made connections, and prove that community goes beyond one language.

What a fantastic afternoon we had yesterday with our Bold as Brass band and our Beautiful Noise choir at Golden Square Shopping Centre. Thanks to our leader Jacky and volunteers Joan, Denise, Steve, Keith and Gwen for your support. Well done our amazing members and thank you to for having us. A huge thank you to everyone who donated in our collection buckets and online, we raised a superb £254.00. We truly appreciate your support. 🥰🙏Registered charity number 1167842

Stunning art exhibition outside TJ Hughes.

What an amazing morning at the launch of our Art with Heart exhibition thanks to Golden Square Warrington for hosting us.

Our Creative Crew members and other members and their families plus volunteers and visitors turned up to view the stunning art work our members do every Monday with The Himos Hub as part of our CA programme.

Wow 🤩 beautiful art work showcasing the talent and creativity in the group.

If you’re walking through Golden Square don’t forget to take a look and please share your selfie tagging in Creating Adventures to show our members just how many people are enjoying their work. 🥰 The exhibition runs until Sunday 1st March.

The exhibition is just outside TJ Hughes.
