Iโ€™ve been working on something new for January 2026!

For months Iโ€™ve watched women in my classes - exhausted, overwhelmed, pushing through symptoms they donโ€™t talk about. Navigating peri without any real support.

I kept thinking: what if there was a space where they didnโ€™t have to figure this out alone? [Because it can feel isolating for sure]. Where they got consistent guidance, not just one-off classes or courses! Where other women actually understood!

So Iโ€™m creating it! More soon! Love Bx

Exercise isnโ€™t just about fitness โ€” itโ€™s ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ. Movement supports mental wellbeing, cardiovascular and bone health, reduces stress, and helps women stay strong and confident through every stage of life.

As a menopause yoga coach, I guide women through the changes with compassion, empathy and expertise โ€” helping them build strength, move through discomfort, and embrace what their bodies can achieve.

Menopause is not a stop sign โ€” itโ€™s an opportunity to rebuild, restore, and thrive. ๐ŸŒธ [Link in bio]. Bx

If you're experiencing hip discomfort during menopause, know this: it's not just in your head, and you're not ๐˜ง๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ข๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ต.

Research shows that when oestrogen declines, our bodies lose some natural anti-inflammatory protection. Our tendons, cartilage, and muscles become more vulnerable. The hips - which carry us through life - often feel this shift first.

Here's why yoga makes such a difference:
โœจ Mobility work keeps your hip joints moving through their full range, preventing stiffness and maintaining the health of cartilage and synovial fluid
โœจ Stability training strengthens the gluteal muscles that support your pelvis and protect hip tendons from overload and pain
โœจ Mindful movement helps regulate inflammation naturally - when we move with awareness rather than pushing through pain, we support healing
โœจ Breath and nervous system regulation - stress increases inflammation, and yoga's emphasis on calming the nervous system creates an internal environment where your body can repair and restore

The beautiful truth? Your body still has incredible capacity to adapt, strengthen, and heal. Yoga meets you exactly where you are and supports you through this transition.
You don't need to "fix" yourself. You need to support yourself with compassion, consistency, and connection.

That's what we do here. ๐Ÿ’› Small Group Women's Yoga - link in bio. Join us! Bx

1. Calms Your Nervous System and Reduces Stress
When you journal, you're helping your body balance stress hormones like cortisol, which directly impacts menopause symptoms like brain fog, sleep issues, and weight changes. Research shows that writing about emotional experiences helps you process what's happening by organising scattered thoughts and releasing emotions you've been holding.

2. Helps You Spot Patterns and Triggers
By writing down your experiences each day, you can start noticing connections - like how stress affects your sleep, or which foods might trigger hot flushes o right seats. This awareness helps you make informed decisions about what supports your wellbeing.

3. Creates a Safe Space for Emotional Release
Menopause brings emotional shifts that can feel overwhelming, and journaling gives you a private, judgment-free place to express whatever you're feeling. The simple act of putting your thoughts and feelings on paper can bring relief, clearing mental fog and releasing emotions you've been carrying.

The beautiful thing? It doesn't have to be fancy - just a few minutes a day, writing freely without judgment. Letting go of perfection. Even speaking your thoughts into your phone works if that feels more natural!

I've been writing '๐— ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜€' as a ritual - spilling that mental chatter onto the page before meditation or yoga practice clears away the debris. Tag a friend who needs support. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

This beautiful image captures something profound about menopause - a truth we often forget when we're caught up in managing symptoms and seeking solutions.

The lotus doesn't fight its unfolding. It doesn't apologise for the transformation. It simply opens, petal by petal, in its own time.

Menopause is not a problem to fix. It's a passage into your Second Spring - a term from Traditional Chinese Medicine that honours this transition as a time of renewal, not decline. You're not losing your youth; you're gaining your wisdom. You're not fading; you're deepening.

Yes, the symptoms are real. The night sweats, the brain fog, the emotional waves - they deserve acknowledgment and support. But they're not the whole story. They're just part of the unfolding.

What if we saw this time as becoming more fully ourselves? The wise woman emerges not despite the changes, but through them. Your body is redirecting energy inward, no longer focused on monthly cycles but available for your own growth, creativity, and truth.

Like the lotus rooted in the mud yet blooming above the water, you're grounded in your lived experience while opening into something new. All parts of you working together - body, mind, and spirit - peacefully transforming.

This is your Second Spring. Your wise woman era. Your time to bloom.

With love Rebecca xx

Patience, Perseverance, Practice

For me yoga is a way of life and it teaches me how to live better, be better a human. The physical, mental and spiritual benefits are evident; yoga has helped me turn my life around and I want to share this healing practice with others.

I endeavour to bring the qualities of compassion and equanimity to my practice and encourage this in class. Yoga is for everybody! It is not a competition to see who is the most flexible; the pose is not the prize! Yoga is a way of being. It offers practices for living, taking care of self (body and mind), developing a deeper relationship with self and others. In fact, it is what we take from the mat into our daily lives that is yoga. The competition with our own ego is the fiercest of all and where we really need to be gentle and kind; letting go is key as well as cultivating an attitude of non-judgment. We need to bring patience and perseverance to our practice. A commitment to getting on the mat and exploring with playful curiosity.

Bref, yoga - for me - is about: acceptance, non-judgment, kindness, compassion, awareness, service, growth and truth.
