Yesterday we did quizzes and puzzles, and 1:1 bedroom visits, as our bedroom visits concentrate on our residents who are unable to leave there bedrooms when these activities happen we do not take pictures as these residents may not have permission to have pictures taken and out of respect we use this time to comfort and support our residents in whatever they may need 💙💛
In the afternoon our activities where life skills, the jobs we do at home, so yesterday we folded towels, pillow cases and blankets, we paired the odd socks to help out our laundry ladies, we gave our baby dolls a bowl bath and hand washed some baby clothes and put them on the radiator to dry, these activities are important to our residents as it gives them a sense of home life, helps with there hand eye coordination and makes them happy sometimes the most mundane tasks we do day to day give us purpose and we like to keep that active in our day to day lives even now 💙💛
