I was invited, albeit briefly, to discuss King Charles' recent prostate surgery and the wider attitudes of why men don't seek help. We have a long way to go to get men thinking about their health more, but hopefully we are starting to see small positive changes

Probably the last one, but lucky enough to be asked to go on today to talk Men's Health and King's Cancer diagnosis

Had a brilliant experience with and our tour guide Oriel (like Ariel apparently). Great fun and amazingly our kids tried everything! Highly recommend if you’re in Toronto.

Today I was invited to discuss the 25th anniversary of Vi**ra on the Jeremy Vine show. I could have easily talked for longer, but it was great to be given the chance to highlight this, often trivialised, aspect of Men's Health. Full broadcast available on Thank you team. **ra

I have been asked to talk about Men's Health in a variety of capacities over the years, but this was probably my most challenging. *NOTE i was not allowed to say anything about s*xual dysfunction* Still it's harder than it looks (that's not a pun...) Thanks to for a fun afternoon.

Also i am pretty sure those fumes are pretty carcinogenic ...

Here are the highlights of my hour-long phone in on Radio-5 Live, where we discussed **ra How it changed the lives of men, challenges men face in addressing ED, and male-health in general. full audio highlights available at our H3Health Youtube Page

Have you heard of SHBG?

It stands for s*x hormone binding globulin, a protein that binds to testosterone and affects how much of it your body can actually use.

Here’s the key point:
Around 97% of testosterone in healthy men is bound up (mostly by SHBG).
That means only a small percentage is “free” and available for your body to use.
If your SHBG rises, due to age, fasting, or certain health conditions, your free testosterone can drop, even if your total testosterone looks fine on paper.

👉 That’s why it’s important not just to measure your total T, but to also check SHBG.

It could explain why you still feel the symptoms of low testosterone even when your total levels look “normal.”

King Charles in Hospital with Benign Prostate Problem - my interview on BBC Radio 4 's PM

50% of men over 50 suffer Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and 80% over 70. So, it is not a surprise that King Charles would also struggle with this condition.
The most common symptoms of BPH are:
Poor flow
Hesitancy
Dribbling afterward
Urinary urgency
Feeling like you could go again a few minutes later

It can be hard to differentiate between BPH and prostate cancer as many of the symptoms are similar, but they are not the same condition, and one does not lead to another

Treatment for BPH is highly effective, so if you have started to noticed problems with your urinary flow, speak to your doctor.

Is Glen Powell challenging the Hollywood norm with his all-natural approach? 🎬💪

In his recent GQ interview, Powell stressed that unlike many actors, he’s not using any medicinal shortcuts to achieve his physique. Instead, he credits a healthy, active upbringing, solid training, and good nutrition.

Sure, he’s experimented with things like cold plunges and even a “super coffee” (a mix of ashwagandha, reishi, cordyceps, which he admits may be going too far), but ultimately, his message is about keeping things real.

Could this redefine what it means to be a leading man in Hollywood? Maybe the future of fitness is less about extremes and more about balance.

👉 What do you think, should Hollywood celebrate the natural approach more?

“Can I come off TRT if I improve my lifestyle?”

The truth is, low testosterone can trap you in a cycle:

no energy → no exercise → poor diet → weight gain → even lower testosterone.

TRT helps break that cycle, giving you the energy and focus to make those lifestyle changes stick.

For a small number of men, those changes are enough to eventually come off treatment. But for most, especially if low T is down to age or medical causes, the best results come from combining TRT with healthy habits.

At the end of the day, it’s about finding what helps you feel stronger, healthier, and more like yourself again.

What is testosterone deficiency? This is a brief interview our Medical Director, Dr Jeff Foster did for BBC radio Leicester. It was a great discussion around testosterone loss in men, and highlighted some interesting and thought provoking points. Thanks to the presenter Ady Dayman for highlighting this rarely talked about topic

A 2016 Harvard study of nearly 32,000 men found that those who ej******ed more than 21 times a month had a 31% lower risk of prostate cancer.

Regular ej*******on may help flush out potential toxins from the prostate, but it doesn’t mean s*x alone is a cure or prevention strategy. It’s just one small piece of a much bigger picture of men’s health - diet, exercise, sleep, and regular check-ups all matter too.

So if you’re skipping out for No Nut November, just know it offers no proven health benefits.
