The 4️⃣th event of the Lincolnshire Junior Golf Winter Get Together Programme took place on Thursday at Virtually Golf in collaboration with the The Elexis Brown Golf Foundation 🎉

3️⃣0️⃣ juniors took part in the 4 challenges
⛳️Challenges included Long Drive, Chipping, Putting & Balloon Pop Fairground game
🌟Lots of Families attended to support & encourage their youngsters
🎁Prizes awarded to all divisions across all 4 challenges

The final block of 25/26 Winter Intro & Learner Coaching has launched at Virtually Golf ⛳️

4️⃣weeks of sessions; 9th, 16th, 23rd Feb & 2nd March
🕰️6-6.55pm (Primary age), 7-7.55pm (Secondary age), 8-8.55pm (Women’s Group)
🌟The package includes each week (x4) on the following Sunday a 1 hour simulator bay booking & use of the indoor putting green

Junior Coaching back on for 2026 at Pottergate Golf Club with games-based learning ⛳️

🌟Connect 4 - The juniors started off with a Putting Game of ‘Connect 4’ to warm up
🪞Mirror Mirror on the wall - Utilising the Putter mirrors to aid set up over the ball
🎯10 foot 10 ball challenge - working on PB, the juniors attempted to improve their scores through practice; reflecting on what went well, even better if…
⛩️Bridge the gap - attempting to roll the ball through the tunnel, the juniors had to make their tunnel narrower each time they were successful for a greater challenge!
🏦The bank - Having to finish the ball inside the bank for 1 golden coin worth £100 (imaginary pound!) or 2 golden coins if they made the vault!
💚Self-compassion - The Golf Foundation’s Unleash your Drive ran through the session, focussing on being kind to ourselves

A busy end to the 2025 golfing season, filled with lots of fun! 🎄🎅🏻

🏌️‍♀️The final session for 2025 at Virtually Golf with the women & junior groups. It’s been a great addition to collaborate with the inner city indoor venue over the Autumn & Winter!

🎉The 3rd event of the Lincolnshire Junior Golf Winter Get Together Programme at Woodhall Spa Golf took place, with a magical Get Glowing Golf Christmas Party! Big thank you to amazing hosts Woodhall for supporting with the facility & to the supporters including The Golf Foundation, The Elexis Brown Golf Foundation & Tesco. As always, fantastic support & leadership from Freya & Poppy!

⛄️The final event for December was the Christmas Junior coaching at Pottergate Golf Club consisting of a Christmas Tree Putting Green Takeover, Santa’s Hat & Bauble Chipping Challenge & Christmas Lights Pitching Challenge. Followed by an afternoon of Santa’s Grotto on the Putting Green, Christmas Themed Fancy Dress, Family Pairs Scramble & a Chocolate Treasure Hunt around the clubhouse. We had the added bonus of the ‘Build a Snowman’ team challenge; our wonderful adult volunteers were dressed up as snowman by the children & these snowman were glamorous! The day was topped off with a Special Visit from the North Pole with the wonderful Mrs Claus bearing homemade cookies & an early gift for all the children!

It’s been a wonderful Christmas here in the world of golf in Lincolnshire🎅🏻🎄

I’m proud to share that Pottergate Golf Club have been officially recognised as a Junior Hub with The Golf Foundation & England Golf 🎉

🙌We are in the top 3% of golf clubs across England that have now achieved this!

🤝Without a doubt, this is absolutely a team effort from the amazing Junior Organiser Kev Galjaard, Owner & Manager Gail Boynett & Richard Boynett, the fantastic team at the club & all the supportive volunteers & members.

👏A huge thank you to all our fab juniors & families - without them, of course we wouldn’t have a junior section. It’s awesome seeing them all participate & grow; both as golfers & personally too.

☺️I’m pleased to be able to support the club with coaching & volunteering on the junior committee.

1️⃣ things for sure, Pottergate don’t just say there a junior friendly club - they absolutely deliver on that through and through!
