JC Atkinson is the largest independent manufacturer of coffins and caskets to the UK funeral market; from our purpose built facility we manufacture and distribute over 60,000 coffins a year. As well as producing more traditional style coffins we have embraced the contemporary with our Reflections Picture Coffin range and Natural Legacy Wool Coffins as well as bamboo, wicker, seagrass and other alternative coffin ranges.

A lovely day at GreenAcres Heatherley Park 🌱

We were proud to support the recent open day at GreenAcres Heatherley Park, where funeral directors, local ministers, celebrants, and members of the public were invited to explore the beautiful chapel and grounds.

It was a fantastic opportunity for visitors to see first-hand the peaceful setting and thoughtful services on offer.

For the event, JC Atkinson supplied our Jute coffin and urn, helping to showcase sustainable choices. It was also great to see our Mushroom urns and Daisy bamboo urns on display, which GreenAcres already uses as part of their offering.

“Working with JC Atkinson on their recent factory refurbishment and production line extension project was a very positive experience for the Owben team.

The project required structural modifications to be delivered within a tight timeframe and in a live operational environment. From the outset, the JC Atkinson team were clear in their vision to improve workflow, safety and efficiency across the facility, and it was a pleasure to support them in delivering these improvements.

Throughout the project, their team were collaborative, organised and proactive, which made coordination and planning straightforward. This level of communication and cooperation allowed us to carry out the installation of the new wall, removal of the material lift and extension of the production line efficiently and safely, with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Last week, Tommy – our main man for overseas deliveries – was back on the road, heading over to Ireland with a special delivery for Finlays.

While he was there, he took the opportunity to catch up with Niall, Finlay’s Sales Representative, and spend some time connecting with more of the Finlay’s team in person.
