✨ Creating meaningful tributes is at the heart of everything we do.

Hearing that a family were “overcome with emotion — in a good way” and that the design truly reflected what was special to Lily reminds us why personalisation matters so much.

We truly appreciate receiving feedback like this from the funeral directors we work with. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team, and we’re proud to support you in creating fitting tributes for the families in your care.

Thank you to Earl & Co Funeral Directors for sharing this with us.

🌿 Oasis Annual Picnic 2026 🌿

Our Oasis Bangladesh team recently came together for their much-anticipated annual picnic — an event staff and families look forward to all year.

With 460 colleagues and family members attending, it was a fantastic celebration of community, connection and shared values.

A real highlight was the photo booth, designed around the 10 Principles of Fair Trade and our business guiding principles. It was wonderful to see so many people proudly taking part and celebrating the values that shape our culture every day.

We’re incredibly proud of our Oasis team and the strong, supportive community they’ve built. 💚

Last week, Nigel Green-Smith attended the National Association of Funeral Directors Western Counties Area Meeting & AGM, kindly hosted by the Westerleigh Group at Sedgemoor Crematorium.

It was a well-attended and informative evening, rounded off with an engaging presentation from Laura Williams, Crematorium Manager at Sedgemoor Crematorium, who shared valuable insight into the crematorium’s work and operations.

A great opportunity to connect with colleagues, hear industry updates, and continue supporting the funeral profession across the Western Counties.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a worthwhile event.

It was great for Simon Heath to attend the Midlands Area National Association of Funeral Directors meeting on Thursday evening.

Huge congratulations to Amy Hazel of Ian Hazel Funerals Ltd, Sutton Coldfield, who steps into her role as Incoming President of the Association for the next two years — a fantastic and well-deserved appointment.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that Simon Heath, our JC Atkinson Central Sales Representative, has been announced as Incoming Vice President for the next two years. An excellent achievement and a real credit to his dedication to the profession.

Wishing both Amy and Simon every success in their new roles — the Midlands area is in great hands.

Last night, Nigel Green-Smith attended the National Association of Funeral Directors Devon meeting, where he presented our Jute coffin alongside his presentation explaining the full range of natural materials manufactured at our Oasis facility in Bangladesh – including Jute, Willow, Bamboo and Seagrass.

Attendees were genuinely astonished by the scale and complexity of Oasis, and highly impressed by the standards of staff welfare, training and care provided on site. The facility has now been operating for over 15 years and continues to grow, employing more people and expanding its operations year on year.

Oasis currently produces thousands of coffins each month, all crafted from natural materials, offering a truly sustainable alternative for the funeral industry.

What stood out most to the attendees of the event was the strong sense of community within the facility and the positive impact it has on both its workforce and the surrounding area. In a country where resources can be limited, Oasis demonstrates how responsible manufacturing can support people, provide skills and training, and create long-term opportunities — all while delivering meaningful, environmentally conscious choices for funerals.

📍 Tonight in Devon – NAFD Area Meeting

We’re looking forward to attending the National Association of Funeral Directors Devon Area Meeting this evening at East Devon Crematorium.

Our very own Nigel Green-Smith will be joining the meeting as a guest speaker, where he’ll be:

- Presenting our Jute Coffin
- Demonstrating how quick and simple it is to assemble

If you’re attending, we’d love for you to come along, see the coffin up close, and have a chat with Nigel about how it can fit into your offering.

See you there 👋

It was a pleasure to attend the recent National Association of Funeral Directors Devon Area Meeting at the beautiful Tamar Valley Crematorium in Plymouth, with Nigel Green-Smith in attendance.

The evening was hosted by the Tamar Valley Crematorium team, with Chris Johns sharing the story behind the crematorium’s journey to opening, alongside Tracy Lawrence, who now oversees its day-to-day operation. Attendees also heard from David Hunter, NAFD Quality Risk & Compliance Manager, who provided a valuable and timely update on the new Funeral Director Code of Practice.

Nigel enjoyed the opportunity to connect with funeral professionals from across the region and to be part of thoughtful conversations around standards, compliance, and the future of our profession.

Thank you to NAFD Devon and Tamar Valley Crematorium for such a welcoming, informative, and well-hosted evening.

💬 Customer feedback that truly matters.

We’re proud to hear how our Reflections Picture Coffins have helped funeral directors receive such positive feedback from the families they care for.

Being described as a “real talking point” by mourners reminds us that personalisation can bring comfort, spark memories, and help families celebrate a life in a truly meaningful way.

Thank you to Devall & Son Family Funeral Directors for sharing this feedback — and for trusting Reflections to support families at such an important time. 🤍

The Whitby Blackboard Lid offers a truly personal way to say goodbye.

Families can write messages, memories, names or simple words of love directly onto the coffin using chalk - creating a farewell that feels honest, intimate, and entirely their own.

Because sometimes the most meaningful tributes are the ones written from the heart. ✍️🖤

Last night we were pleased to attend the National Association of Funeral Directors Bournemouth & District meeting at the Hotel Miramar.

The evening provided valuable insight, with Julian Hussey delivering an overview from a national perspective, followed by David Hunter who outlined the key elements of The Funeral Directors Code of Practice.

Staying engaged with industry updates and best practice is essential in supporting funeral professionals and maintaining the highest standards of care. Thank you to all involved for an informative and worthwhile event.
