I try to be honest always. I have felt so good recently, I thought maybe I would reduce my medication. I haven’t stopped but I got lapse at taking every day and within 2 days for no reason, I am feeling off again. Guess I am not ready 😢 i have such a great life and I am so angry that my brain does this to me. I am so lucky but this is a battle I will continue to fight. Anyone going through something similar - I stand with you ❤️

Last night I attended my own birthday party. I have never had a party before because I was always so anxious that I don’t have enough friends and family BUT I decided to not let all those demons in my head win. And went for it…

The reality behind this smile was worry, judgement- was everyone else thinking it was just a small group and not a ‘huge’ party. There were a few key people who couldn’t join us so it was probably quieter than I thought.

I actually ended up having an amazing time, laughing, dancing and messing around. The people who were there made it an incredible evening. I just wish I hadn’t let such a special event be so overshadowed by my demons. Even today instead of thinking of the fun time, I keep finding myself wondering what others thought. I hate being like this. I will continue to keep fighting those stupid, unkind demons whilst taking you all on the journey with me.

Christmas can bring up a lot for so many. Now is an amazing time to start practising gratitude if you have never tried it, or get back into the habit. You will never have everything (because everything is impossible!) so look at what you have - go back to the basics if needs be…time is a gift not given to all! ❤️

Today I am grateful for a roof over my head, a warm bed to get out of (even if it was at 6am!) and a healthy family. What are you grateful for?

Do what makes you happy! Put it up early, put it up late. Our family love Christmas and have been begging me to do it before next weekend as planned. So I did it 🎄

❤️ APPRECIATION POST ❤️ This is Sandy - my mum. Without her, Calma wouldn’t be here. She encouraged the dream, saw my vision to create a welcoming space that more people could afford to attend and does so much behind the scenes. She is our incredible baker (so many people rave about our handmade cakes) but she also helps set it up with the rest of my family, break it down every time and also keeps on top of the kitchen ensuring everything is washed up, fresh glasses are always available, etc. She does it all not to just help me, but to ensure everyone that comes along has the most incredible experience. Without Sandy, there would be no Calma so thank you Mum. Love Louise ❤️💫

Another retreat delivered. A beautiful afternoon with an incredible and welcoming group again. Today I treated our group to a surprise goodie bag - full of incense, incense holder, beautiful notebook and pen to continue their gratitude journey. 💫 Thank you to everyone who came today. See you again for our next retreat in 2025. ❤️
