Rememberance Sunday ❤️

It was an honour to accompany some of our much loved veterans and their families & friends to the Horndean Parish Rememberance service this morning.

Ray proudly led the parade on his buggy and then we enjoyed some time down at the memorial after the service paying our respects.

A wonderful community to belong to...

Then it was back to our cosy coffee shop to warm up & see whats going on there with a cuppa and a gorgeous Poppy cake made and decorated in our baking club this week.

GOODBYE MARGE 🩷🫶

Today we said a very sad farewell to our wonderful volunteer Marge.

Marge has given Pear Tree Court many hours of her time and dedicated herself to various projects such as our weekly knit and natter, making beautiful creations for events to raise money for charity and supporting many to play bingo.

Marge has worked with people in our care to make their own knitted projects which were then gifted to our communities, such as baby hats for QA NICU department & little policeman for the local constabulary.

Marge you are an absolute diamond 💎 and you will be hugely missed, THANK YOU so much and wish you all the very best for the future ✨️

Guy Fawkes Night 💥

What a fabulous evening we had celebrating bonfire night!!!

Yesterday we wished our lovely lady Mary a very Happy 96th Birthday.

Mary told us how she was always allowed to stay up late on her birthday because it was on Guy Fawkes night & last night was no different at Pear Tree where she enjoyed a sparkler & entertainment 💥⭐️

Fire works night is approaching and I’m getting ready to perform my Fire & LED shows to all the residents at Pear Tree Court in Horndean 🎆

My partner is also the Head Chef for Pear Tree Court and will be there serving up chilli jacket potato’s 🥔

It’s a pleasure to be asked to perform at this Care Home and I’m really looking forward to interacting with the guests and bringing the fire for the night 💖 🔥

This morning we welcomed back our beautiful baby group to see us for more intergenerational work between the young & elderly.

These sessions are always fun & full of such heartwarming moments.
