We are an independent and family owned funeral home situated in the centre of the beautiful village of Denmead. Paul M. Lee-Bapty, Dip F.D., Affil R.S.H.

We are an independent and family owned Funeral Home with 4 offices situated in the village of Denmead, Wickham, Clanfield and Southsea, serving Hambledon, Waterlooville, Clanfield, Catherington, Portsmouth & surrounding areas of Hampshire. We serve the families of Hambledon, Waterlooville, Clanfield, Catherington and the surrounding areas of Hampshire.We are proud to draw on over 70 years of heritage within the funeral business. The principle funeral director at South Downs Funeral Service is Mr. Paul follows in his father's footsteps in becoming a funeral director and feels very privileged to continue the family tradition. Together with Paul, Mrs Kerrie Davey, our “Female funeral director” take care of the Denmead funeral home, Mrs Debbie Deane and Mrs Jane Farrell in Clanfield,Ms Charley Davis and Tim Coad in Wickham will be looking after you throughout any funeral arrangements. Giving away two 2 seater sofas and a chair. One sofa is in good condition, the other not so great. Chair needs a bit of refurbishment work. Frames all good. Collection on Friday from denmead. No charge, free to collect!

South Downs funeral service Clanfield would like to invite you all to our Christmas remembrance evening in Clanfield tonight from 4:30pm-8pm.

Many of the shops will be staying open late to offer Christmas gifts, we will be open for refreshments, a chat and to place a tag on our memory tree so please feel free to come along and join us.

Please be advised that unfortunately our Christmas remembrance service tonight is postponed due to the ever changing covid regulations. We will reschedule for spring time.

Your Christmas tags however can still be sent into us here at the Denmead funeral home to be placed on our tree.

A Vacancy has arisen within South Downs Funeral services we are looking to take on a casual labour bearer.
This would include Coffin Bearing, driving vehicles, being on the on call rota and other funeral related duties.
Suited to shift or partially retired worker.
Only the highest standards will be acceptable as the care and consideration of our clients need is of the utmost importance. We therefore require a person with a positive attitude, imitative to learn our procedures and become a valuable member of a busy team.
Clean Driving licence and fully vaccinated essential.
