🌟 Pilates Posture check ⭐️
Posture isn’t about “standing up straight” — it’s about balanced alignment and strength.
Most people tend to fall into one of two habits:
• The bum-tucker – pelvis tucked under with rounded shoulders and a slouched upper body.
• The bum-sticker-outer – bottom pushed back, ribs lifted and flaring, lower back over-arched.
Symptoms of incorrect posture:
• Neck or shoulder tension or pain
• Rounded shoulders
• Lower back ache
• Head jutting forward and headaches
• Feeling tired standing or sitting
In Pilates we work towards neutral alignment:
✨ Pelvis balanced (not tucked or tipped)
✨ Core gently engaged to support the spine
✨ Shoulders relaxed and drawn back through the rotator cuff
✨ Rib cage stacked over the pelvis
✨ Neck long and head balanced
When everything stacks well, your core is stronger, you will feel taller, breathing improves, and aches reduce!
