🎭✨ Understanding Masking 🧠

This Neurodiversity Week, we’re encouraging everyone to recognise the hidden effort many neurodivergent individuals experience.

Masking is when someone hides or suppresses their natural behaviours to fit in—like copying others, staying quiet, or pushing through overwhelm.

For many students and staff, masking can be:
• Exhausting
• Stressful
• Isolating

Over time, it can affect wellbeing and confidence.

At Grow Therapeutic Coaching, we support schools to create environments where people feel safer to be their authentic selves, with less need to mask.

💬 Small changes make a big difference:
• Create safe, supportive spaces
• Value different ways of communicating and learning
• Focus on belonging, not just fitting in

Because everyone deserves to feel seen, understood and able to be themselves. 💜

🧠✨ Every Brain is Unique – Let’s Celebrate It! 🌈

This Neurodiversity Week, we’re supporting schools to celebrate a simple but powerful idea: no two brains work the same—and that’s a good thing.

In every school community, students, staff and families bring different ways of thinking, learning and experiencing the world. Everyone has their own strengths, perspectives and ways of approaching learning, and when these differences are recognised and supported, the whole school community benefits.

💡 There is no “one right way” to learn, think or succeed
💬 Different minds bring new ideas, creativity and problem-solving
🤝 Understanding each other helps build more inclusive and supportive environments

At Grow Therapeutic Coaching, we work alongside schools to help create environments where all students and staff feel understood, supported and able to thrive.

This week is a great opportunity to:
• Be curious about how different brains work
• Celebrate what makes individuals unique
• Strengthen inclusive practices across your school community

Because when we recognise that ALL brains are unique, we create a environment where everyone can thrive. 💜

🌈 Celebrate Neurodiversity Week in Your School Community 🧠✨

This Neurodiversity Week, let’s recognise and celebrate the incredible strengths, talents and perspectives of both students and staff in our schools.

Neurodiversity reminds us that every brain works differently. Differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and more are a natural and valuable part of human diversity. When schools embrace neurodiversity, we create environments where both learners and educators can thrive.

📚 Ways your school can get involved:
• Start conversations about different ways of thinking and learning
• Celebrate the strengths of neurodivergent students and colleagues
• Share experiences to build understanding across your school community
• Create inclusive classrooms and workplaces where everyone feels valued and supported

When schools champion neurodiversity, they build communities where every mind is respected, supported and empowered.

💬 How is your school celebrating Neurodiversity Week? Share your ideas and inspire others!

Every young person deserves a space where they can truly be themselves.

A space where they don’t have to pretend, hide, or shrink who they are.
A space where they feel safe enough to explore what they’re carrying.

In a world that asks so much of young people, we choose to slow down, listen wholeheartedly, and meet them without judgement.

Their thoughts matter. Their feelings matter.
And who they are matters.💜

Sorry guys.... We missed 'World Kindness Day' this time last week! But in a world where we don't always feel in control of our choices we can always 'choose' to be kind....
What can you do today that's kind? You never know it might just catch on.... 💜

We try to offer the young people we work with the opportunity to share and work through their challenges feeling fully supported.
So that the spooky thoughts can be kept for Halloween!
