There is a quiet power in being present.

Did you know that 79% of people find attending a funeral essential for acknowledging their loss?

At M. K. Ginder & Sons Funeral Directors we pride ourselves on providing a service for you to say a real, heartfelt goodbye that feels right for you. Whatever that may be.

Whether that’s through a favourite song, a shared story, a football team, or even a much-needed moment of laughter.

We believe every family and every funeral should be handled with care.

On occasion, we receive through the post, something which really makes us smile. In this instance, it is a letter of thanks and a certificate of appreciation from a charity, thanking us for helping bereaved families raise a certain amount for them through our online tribute and donations pages.

Thank you to the RSPB for this lovely surprise. Thank you also to MuchLoved for their support in helping us to provide the pages and platform for our families.

Today is ANZAC Day 🇦🇺🇳🇿

We remember all those Australians and New Zealanders who lost their lives through War and Conflict.

As our friends and colleagues from down under pause and reflect, we stand with you to say, we too will remember them.

Our team today proudly wore their Red Roses 🌹 for St. George’s Day today 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

This tradition was first established by our late founder Martyn Ginder, who would always ensure he and his team had their Red Roses 🌹 on for funerals taking place this day.

Times may change and the teams may differ, but traditions stay the same.

Happy St. George's Day 🌹

Today we celebrate St. George, the patron saint of England. Written about for centuries, St. George and the flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿are symbols of our blessed country.

William Shakespeare, who passed away 410 years ago today, wrote in his play Henry V, as part of his "Once more into the breach" speech,

"Cry ‘God for Harry, England, and Saint George!’"

Therefore for England and St. George, we say - Happy St. George's Day!!! 🌹🌹🌹

Our Managing Director, Adam K Ginder will be heading to China later this week to trek along the Great Wall of China in aid of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Walking for 5 days, climbing over 3500 metres, Adam is hoping to raise as much as he can in support of the fantastic work the Hospice provides to the local community. To help the charity raise as much as possible, Adam will be covering all of his own travel costs for the trip.

If you are able to support him and the hospice by sponsoring or contributing to his fundraising page it will give him the extra motivation he'll need to reach the end.
