This will be our last post for a few weeks, as we take time away from the shop to make plans with family and friends, and catch up on jobs from our personal lives we've had building up.

To get everything fitted in last week before we finished for the year, we were out on Wednesday delivering two profiling beds to a lovely husband and wife, which I'm glad to say has transformed their lives, and we're so glad we could be a part of that transformation (thank you for the tea, coffee and cake to keep us going!)

May I also take this opportunity to wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we look forward to working with you all in the new year! 🎄😊

Wednesday 12th November 2025; not a day at the shop, but still a shop day out and about.

We loaded up the van the evening before with 2 Sure Rider mobility scooter trailers and a mobility scooter to return to a customer. Oil and water checked, including the window washer water.

Just after 7.30 Wednesday morning we set off. Our first stop was East Coast Mobility in Lowestoft who had ordered the two Sure Rider mobility scooter trailers from us. It was nice to meet Nicki and Kerry who are in the shop showroom. We have delivered trailers before and we hope their customers reap the benefits. I hear the trailers are a hit with the keen anglers in the area with the sea so close. After a great cup of tea, off to the next stop.

Scooterpac, who we are a dealer for was our next stop. As we were near, we called in to say hello and see their new home for Scooterpac. Just a few miles up the road and we were turning into their car park. We met with Todd who is our Account Manager and he told us about the history of the building and how the plans have now become reality. The building was last occupied 20 years ago by Godfreys the home improvement retailer. Since then the building had sat derelict until Scooterpac transformed it into offices, meeting room, production area and storage. We then viewed and spoke about a number of mobility scooters. The Latest of the Scooterpac range to be launched is the Savvy Defender. Another mobility scooter to soon be launched is the…….Ooops nearly let the secret out. All I can say is that it has some very innovative features, watch this space.

Now off to a returning customer in Norwich. Husband and wife team both have car bootable mobility scooters. They use them for the local shop trip plus also to go on the bus and do a bit of shopping in the city centre. They are also a handy piece of kit to go on the train when they want to go further afield. One of the mobility scooters has developed an intermittent fault. We loaded it up onto the van to return it to our workshop where we have the test equipment and tools to fault find and rectify. Now off to Diss.

Last stop of the day and this was to return a mobility scooter to a lady. After fault finding, stripping down the motor and inspecting it was found that the motor had a scored commutator and the motor brushes were damaged. As this was quite an old mobility scooter and a new motor was not available the customer agreed that the best option was to recondition the original motor.
After the motor commutator had been turned on the lathe in the machine workshop, cleaned, new bearings, and brushes fitted it was rebuilt and fitted to the mobility scooter. A test drive and it was all back up and useable again. We phoned ahead to say we were about an hour away and when we arrived she was ecstatic that we were able to keep her old but favourite scooter working. She was also very pleased that the final price was cheaper than a new motor, (if it was possible to get one)! I put the mobility scooter in the shed for her ready to use the next day.

That was it then, that days jobs were jobbed. We headed home for a well earned cup of tea.

• Our Sure Rider Hawk in winter white, with upgraded infilled tyres, windscreen and heavy duty shopping bag.
• A brand new out 4 motor Dallux rise and recline chair, with electrically adjustable lumbar and headrest support and heat/massage functionality.
• Two return customers with their Sure Rider Kestrals, in for complete weather protection canopies for their scooters.

Today marks two years since the hardest day we faced as a family; losing one of the people closest to us.

In memory of our beloved Husband, Dad and Grandad, Colin Parrott, we have had a custom neon sign made and installed above our shop door, so everyone can read his name and know the reason we are here helping people with our family business is because of him.

Fly high Grandad, we love you forever ###.

Another busy few weeks and been and gone, along with a few new mobility scooters to their new homes, including:

• A Sure Rider Hawk, which was a much needed upgrade for our customer.
• A Valiant car bootable scooter, for making day trips easier.
• A Genie Ultralight, for helping our customer keep their independence.
A Genie manual folding scooter, to help our customer get around during a very difficult time they're facing.

All these scooters were sold after us understanding the customer's needs and getting the right scooter to match.

Time flies when you're having fun!!

This past month has been non-stop with servicing of mobility scooters (we're fully booked until the 30th October 2025), hiring mobility scooters to centre parcs, as well as sales of daily living aids, shoes, slippers, socks, etc.

We've also had a few new mobility scooter sales, which I'll list below:

• Sure Rider Kestral with infilled tyres. This scooter will be a valued asset to our customer as it will keep their independence.
• 2 x Drive Valiant heavy duty car bootable scooter. These two scooters will allow a pleasant shopping experience for our customers, as with the all round suspension and long-range battery, it makes it perfect for days out!
• Sure Rider Harrier with infilled tyres. This scooter met the requirements of our customer that it was comfortable and fit in their motorhome garage as shown, which makes the scooter look small and the motorhome look massive!

It has been a very busy couple of months this summer at the shop, hence this overdue update! We've been kept busy with sales of daily living aids/shoes & slippers, servicing, repairs and hiring mobility scooters out to different holiday parks and of course the Weeting Steam Engine Rally.

We've also had a few scooter sales, which I'll list below.

• A Sure Rider Hawk in red and Rascal Veo Sport SR boot scooter to the same customer to make their everyday life easier.
• A Sure Rider Hawk in blue to make our customer's gardening work even easier to complete.
• A Sure Rider Trailer.
• 2x Drive Astrolite Boot scooters.
• 2x Monarch Supa Carbon Lite folding scooters.
• Monarch Autofold folding scooter.
• Monarch AirPro Electric Wheelchair.
• Rascal Vie Boot Scooter.

The above 7 scooters were sold to different customers to make their day trips out easier and so they can maintain their independence. Each scooter was sold to each customer through listening to their needs, and matching the relevant scooter to what they required.
