🚨 SCAM ALERT – Fake NHS/ Hospital Appointment Texts 🚨
We’ve been made aware of text messages circulating that claim to be from local hospitals about ENT or other medical appointments. These messages often include a phone number to call and look very convincing — but they are NOT genuine.
👉 Important reminders:
✔️ NHS and hospitals will never ask you to call an unfamiliar mobile number to discuss your appointment.
✔️ Genuine NHS texts usually come from a named sender (e.g., NHS, Hospital Name), not random mobile numbers.
✔️ If you’re unsure whether a message is real, do not call the number or click any links.
✔️ Contact your hospital or GP using the official number on their website.
