As December arrives, communities are lighting up streets, preparing holiday gatherings, and embracing the familiar warmth of the festive season. From local markets to neighbourhood events, the month is filled with celebration and the anticipation of a new year.

But alongside the joy, many also feel the absence of loved ones who are no longer here. The holiday season often brings memories to the forefront, making this a time of both togetherness and quiet reflection. As the festive days unfold, December continues to shine as a season of light, kindness, and remembrance.

Community groups and support services are encouraging people to reach out, connect, and take care of one another, reminding everyone that it’s okay to celebrate while still holding space for those we miss.

The Silver Line Helpline run by Age UK is a free, confidential telephone service for older people. They provide friendship, conversation and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, telephone 0800 470 80 90. https://www.thesilverline.org.uk/

Join us at Rushden Lakes on Friday 10th, October 2025, to raise funds for Cransley.
Hospice Care Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the importance of Hospice Care nationwide. The best way to do this is by getting involved with your local hospice fundraising! Together with your support, Cransley aims to raise an incredible £15,000 during their GO GREEN week from 6th to 12th October, to fund a better end-of-life experience for people with a life-limiting illness in our community…because every moment matters.

Are you looking for a career change? Are you a kind and caring person? Do you seek job satisfaction? Then this could be the job for you!

We are looking for passionate individuals to support customers in their own homes. Your role will involve traveling between customers houses, and completing designated tasks in accordance to a care plan🏡🚗

You must hold a valid UK driving licence, and have a care available to use for work🚗

Responsibilities include providing personal care, emotional & social support, Complete Medication administration and provide support with nutritional needs 🛀🥗

✅ No experience is necessary as full initial and ongoing training is given📚
✅ Full and Part-time "contracted" positions are available! 📜
✅ Competitive salary 💰
✅ If desired; Weekend only work available 🌙
✅ Shift patterns are from: 07.00 - 15.00 ⏰
✅ Regular days off 🏖
