Our Registered Manager Siggy is qualified in delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Autism and Learning Disability – the national standard for training in this area - today she was at Northampton General Hospital.

Siggy works in collaboration with NHFT to deliver this training to our staff as well as NHS staff, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based learning opportunities across the sector at various venues in the Northamptonshire area, ensuring we continue to provide the best possible care and support to the people we serve.

We’re passionate about learning, inclusion, and person-centred care and this training reflects our ongoing commitment to improving understanding and outcomes for individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

🌡️ Amber Heat Health Alert Issued for East Midlands 🌡️

The UK Health Security Agency has issued an Amber Heat Health Alert for the East Midlands from 12pm Fri 27 June to 6pm Tues 1 July 2025.

With sustained high temperatures expected. the Public Health team is urging everyone to take extra care to stay safe and well. ☀️💧

Here’s how you can beat the heat:

✅ Stay out of the sun between 11am–3pm
✅ Exercise or walk pets during cooler parts of the day
✅ Keep your home cool – close sun-facing curtains & windows
✅ Dress for the weather: wear a hat, sunglasses & sunscreen
✅ Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water, limit alcohol
✅ Check in on elderly or vulnerable family, friends & neighbours
✅ Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke
