Happy Christmas from all of us at Ruxstons! 🎄

We’ve had a brilliant year and enjoyed every bit of it. Quite simply, we couldn’t have built what we’ve built in 2025 without the incredible support of our customers, many of whom have become good friends along the way. From our café regulars, to those ordering online from further afield, and everyone in between, thank you for backing the Ruxstons project. It genuinely means a lot to us to see you enjoying the area and the products we sell.

As ever, Fraser and I remain as passionate as ever about Ruxstons. Our aim hasn’t changed: to put quality, authenticity and discovery at the heart of everything we do. This year we’ve grown from two team members in January to six today, and we’re hugely thankful to every one of them, past and present. Everything added in 2025 has been a true team effort.

Together, the team has developed the café (we literally only had a few coffees on the menu in January), built a chocolate factory, launched our own ice cream brand, and partnered with chef (and former colleague) Lubo Rotak as we begin building the Ruxstons Chocolate Academy. We’re really determined that Wellington can proudly add the South West’s best chocolate factory to its list of great things. It won’t be easy, but we’ll work hard to make it happen.

And the future? Don’t worry, we’re not short of ideas. Our organic pasta project is nearing completion, and we have no shortage of plans and ideas which will be arriving next year!

We have pre made hampers available in store!

Perfect for any last minute gifts! No decision making required, we have chosen interesting and tasty selections of food!

Our huge tea selection is definitely worth a browse with many options from various brands you don’t easily find elsewhere. These make nice gifts, or just something nice to provide over Christmas. And we also sell various coffee beans and ground coffee including the Coast and Moor “Explore” roast we use in our coffee shop.

We have extra large chickens ready for Christmas in an assortment of sizes including 3Kg+, or something smaller for those having a quieter gathering.

Pasture raised chickens are kept on grass and moved regularly meaning they always have access to fresh pasture. This makes their skin yellow from the high grass diet and the chicken has a much more flavourful taste than commercial chickens.

Hot Volcanoes are our latest chocolate in the cabinet!

A hot chilli lava centre encased in a dark chocolate shell, patterned with the erupting volcano and dappled obsidian.

These are a lovely gift for those who like chilli and chocolate combined.

You’ll find them available in the chocolate cabinet amongst all the other creations.

At Ruxstons, we hand paint, fill and create all of our chocolates in our very own on-site chocolate factory.

We have an incredibly beautiful and extensive range with everything from Blueberry Ruby Chocolate, to Dark Chocolate Braziers, using locally roasted Brazier Coffee!

Our delicious chocolates will make the perfect gift this Christmas for all of your loved ones, and we have a selection of box sizes to choose from. Or try our chocolates alongside a hot drink in our cafe! ☕️

A new drink is on our menu today created by our barista Estera☕️

Inspired by the traditional Polish winter drink Grzaniec ( pronounced gsh-ah-nyets), our Winter Warmer blends cranberry juice, citrus lemonade syrup, and cozy winter spices. Served hot, it’s a comforting, alcohol-free twist on a festive classic, perfect for cold days.

An absolute must-try during this festive season. 🎄

We now have our Festive Sausage Rolls in the savoury cabinet on the lead up to Christmas. Our traditional pork sausage meat, cranberry sauce and mature cheddar, wrapped in buttery shortcrust pastry.

We now have gift vouchers for our chocolate classes available in store.

An exciting 5 hour long course led by professional development chef Lubo Rotak, testing your hand at artistry, precision, and creativity, our chocolate classes are a memorable and hands-on learning experience.

Our gift vouchers are £60 for a ticket, that will bring the lucky receiver a life long memory.

We are happy to announce that we will now be opening on Sundays!

We welcome all of you to enjoy our cosy cafe and browse our shop from 10am - 4pm every Sunday, starting this Sunday 30th November. We are looking forward to seeing you there, where you will be served by Ellie, Rosie, and Apple.

Exciting Announcement: Ruxstons Own Pasta range coming soon!

Gabriel visited the Mainardi family and their organic pasta company in the hills around Alba, Italy, last week, a region famous for its truffles, hazelnuts and long history of artisan, small-scale food production. The Mainardi family has been farming organically here since the 1980's, long before it was fashionable.

The business is now run by three siblings, Luisa, Marco and Laura, who have kept the artisan, hands-on approach while letting modern machinery take care of the repetitive bits.

From January we will bring their new organic pastas and organic gluten-free pastas into Ruxstons. From the Organic Egg Pappardelle to the Gluten-Free Buckwheat Fussili, the Gluten-Free Oat Pasta is also particularly exciting. it’s a big step forward for our pasta range, and we can’t wait for you to try them.

Enjoy a moment of quiet from the busy Christmas preparations with one of our sausage rolls. Made in house, with pork from local outdoor raised pigs, and with an all organic butter shortcrust pastry (shortcrust historically being the pastry used in sausage rolls).

These are a perfect sized snack to enjoy with your coffee. ☕️
