Pole F.I.T Heels 101

Let’s not pretend we don’t know where pole came from.

This class is a nod to the roots of pole, brought together with modern teaching, strong foundations, and proper technique so you can actually learn how to move in heels with confidence, control, and style.

Heels is not just about looking sexy and hoping for the best. It is about understanding your body, your weight placement, your lines, your flow, and how to move safely whilst still serving exactly the energy you came for.

This class is designed to give you the foundations. The walks, the transitions, the floorwork, the posture, the confidence, the attitude, and the body awareness that make heels look good rather than awkward, hesitant, or half-committed.

And yes, everybody can do heels. Everybody can be sexy. Most of the time it is not a lack of ability, it is a lack of teaching. That’s where I come in.

You do not need experience. You do not need to already feel confident. You do not need to be “that kind of person”. You just need to be willing to learn.

This is beginner friendly, unapologetic, empowering, and a whole new level of fun.

This is not the barre you think you know.

NU:U Barre is built to do more than make you pulse your life away and hope for the best. This class blends precision, control, strength, mobility, and proper coaching so you actually leave feeling like your body is improving, not just burning.

Expect a class that helps build strength, coordination, posture, body awareness, and mobility in a way that is intelligent, effective, and accessible. Yes, it looks beautiful. But it is also doing something useful.

With specialist knowledge across a wide range of mobility, postural, and health conditions, adaptations can be made to meet you where you are. You do not need to arrive already strong, already flexible, or already “good” at this kind of training. That is literally what the class is for.

It is also pre- and postnatal safe, with thoughtful adaptations available, so people can feel supported rather than sidelined.

In fact, this class is highly recommended for people with hypermobility, as it focuses on control, support, awareness, and building strength where many people have been taught only to hang off end range and call it flexibility.

You can expect quality teaching, proper progressions, injury prevention, rehabilitation-aware options, and movement that actually transfers into real life, other training, and how your body feels day to day.

Pole F.I.T is the pole division of F.I.T Southwest and home to everything from beginner classes through to more advanced training, heels, flow, choreography, and the kind of teaching that helps people truly grow.

Whether you are brand new, coming back after time away, or already building your confidence, the aim is the same: strong foundations, real progress, and classes that are actually taught properly.

Pole is one of the most effective ways to train because it is doing more than just “burning calories” or ticking an exercise box. It builds strength, coordination, body awareness, mobility, confidence, and skill in a way that keeps both the body and brain engaged. It is functional, progressive, and varied enough to keep you improving rather than plateauing and getting bored.

Everything can be adjusted to suit the person in front of us, which means you do not need to arrive fit, fearless, flexible, or already good at anything. You start where you are, and we build from there. That is the whole point.

This is also a space where people support each other, celebrate the little wins, and remember that every strong, confident poler once had a first class too.

People often do not give enough time to their bodies, and when they do exercise, it is often inconsistent, repetitive, or disconnected from any real sense of purpose. Pole changes that. It gives you something to work towards, helps you see your progress, and makes training feel like something you want to come back to.

BRAND NEW STUDIO PENDING✨ WELLINGTON🫶🏼

We’re creating more than just a pole studio. We’re building a space for movement, strength, confidence, and support.

With 18 years of teaching experience and Xpert qualified instructors, our goal is to bring expert teaching into an environment that feels empowering, approachable, and genuinely welcoming from day one.

Alongside pole, we’ll also be offering a strong NU:U Barre presence, signature flexibility training, injury rehab and prehab-informed support, aerial hoop, silks, hammock, heels, teen and kids’ classes, pre- and postnatal classes with babies welcome, b***y workouts, and open practice sessions for those who want extra time to move, train, and grow.

Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to movement, rebuilding confidence, wanting support after having a baby, or simply looking for classes that are enjoyable, effective, and taught properly, there is something here for you.

This studio is being built to offer more than a workout. It is a place to learn, progress, feel supported, and enjoy movement without feeling behind before you’ve even started.
