Today was such a beautiful moment at Oaktree Court Care Home reminiscing and connecting🧡

We spent time together sharing memories, learning from one another, and most importantly Shane from Reminiscence Learning bringing joy through music. Seeing the residents come alive as we sang together was truly heartwarming. Every smile, every lyric remembered, and every laugh shared reminded us how powerful these moments are.

It’s not just about the songs—it’s about the feelings they bring back, the stories they unlock, and the happiness they create.

Today we had a lovely church service here at Oaktree Court Care Home and it was a truly special time for everyone who joined us.

The space was open to all—whether religious or not—and it was wonderful to see residents come together in such a warm, welcoming environment. The service focused on reflection, comfort, and connection, creating a safe and peaceful place for everyone to feel included.

There were moments of quiet thought, shared smiles, and a real sense of community throughout. It reminded us how important it is to have spaces where everyone feels valued, heard, and at ease.

Today, on the first day of spring, we had such a special visit from the lovely Gilly, who treated us to some beautiful classical piano 🎹✨

As she played, the room was filled with calm, joy, and the most wonderful music. It became even more heartwarming when Anne from our memory care unit pulled up a chair beside her—mid-bite and all—and couldn’t resist singing along! 🎶

A truly lovely, spontaneous moment that brought smiles to everyone. Moments like these remind us just how powerful music can be in bringing people together 💛

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming a fantastic Danny Jukebox to Oak Tree Court, and what a lovely time it was! 🎤💛

Music truly has a magical way of changing how we feel. As the songs filled the room, you could see faces light up, smiles appear, and even a few people singing along. It brought back happy memories and created such a warm, joyful atmosphere for everyone 😊

It was so special to see how music can lift spirits, bring people together, and make such a positive difference to our day 💫

🍀 Bringing a little extra cheer this St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Oaktree Court Care Homee has been brightened up with lovely green decorations, shamrocks, and festive touches, helping to create a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone. 💚

It’s amazing how a few simple decorations can lift spirits, spark conversations, and make the day feel that bit more special. Our residents have really enjoyed the St. Patrick’s feel around the home!

🧡🌿Green thumbs today the pansy’s are out 🪻🌿

Oaktree Court Care Home had a wonderful time today getting their hands a little muddy and enjoying some gardening in the sunshine. From planting colourful flowers to watering the beds, it was a fantastic way to spend time outdoors together. 🌷

Gardening is not only relaxing, but it also helps keep our residents active, boosts wellbeing, and brings back many happy memories for them. It was lovely to see so many smiles while everyone worked together to make our garden even more beautiful. 💚

A big thank you to our amazing staff and residents for making today so special. We can’t wait to watch everything grow! 🌱

🎧 Silent Disco Fun with Reminiscence Learning! 🎶

What an amazing afternoon we had at the home when Reminiscence Learningcame to visit and host a fantastic Silent Disco session for our residents!

With the headphones on and the music playing, residents were soon singing along, tapping their feet, and even getting up for a little dance. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and happy memories sparked through the music.

Here at Oaktree Court Care Home we see that music has such a special way of bringing people together and unlocking memories, and today truly showed just how powerful it can be. Our residents had an incredible time and the atmosphere was full of joy.

A big thank you to the team at Reminiscence Learning for such a brilliant experience – we can’t wait to have you back again soon! 💃🕺
