Oaktree Court Care Home Dedicated to kindness & love, we provide all-inclusive residential, respite, nursing & dementia care.

Oaktree Court is set in 9 acres against a beautiful backdrop of woodland, this former mansion house is just half a mile from Wellington, a small Somerset town standing between the River Tone and the beautiful Blackdown Hills.

We’re so proud of Pauline, one of our wonderful residents here at Oaktree Court, who received a medal for completing her fundraising walk throughout October! 🚶‍♀️💜

“I’m so humbled and lucky to be here.” 🗨️

This Remembrance Day, amazing WWII veteran Ken from Oaktree Court Care Home proudly took part in The National Service of Remembrance Parade at The Cenotaph, leading the procession alongside fellow centenarian veterans.👏

Ken, who served from 1942 - 1946 and was saved by the historic Operation Zipper, shared his incredible story with BBC One and Sky News - reflecting on his service and what it means to still stand in remembrance today.

Today we Oaktree Court Care Home created a special collage of a horse adorned with beautiful red poppies to honour those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. 🕊️🌺

The poppy is a powerful symbol of remembrance, and combining it with the strength and grace of a horse felt like a meaningful way to reflect on courage, loyalty, and peace.

“A massive thank you too everyone who donated and cheered me on during the 62 miles in October fundraiser for stroke awareness. I was able raise a very generous total of 393.00 pounds and 62 miles secured for stroke awareness, again I want to too say thank you to everyone who donated it really means a lot thank you 🙂🙂”

🌸 poetry in motion 🌸

We were delighted to welcome local poet John to our home today! 🖋️✨ Residents gathered for an afternoon of beautiful words, shared memories, and heartfelt laughter as their favorite poems were read and it even inspired a few of us to write our own! 💌

Poetry has a wonderful way of bringing people together, sparking creativity, and stirring the soul. 🧡Thank you, John for filling our home with such warmth and inspiration.

What a magical Halloween we had this weekend 🧡🎃

Our residents and team came together for a fang-tastic party filled with laughter, music, and plenty of treats 🍕🕸️ We were delighted to welcome a real magician who wowed everyone with some spellbinding tricks — especially when he met our very own resident witch! 🪄🧙‍♀️✨

From spooky decorations to delicious pizza and lots of smiles, it was a frightfully good time for all. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — and to our residents for reminding us that fun has no age limit and you can celebrate no matter how big or small you are 🧡🎃

🎉🐴 A Very Special 100th Birthday Surprise at the Care Home! 🐴🎉

Today was one of those unforgettable days that warms your heart and reminds you of the joy in simple, thoughtful gestures. 💖

To celebrate the 100th birthday of our lovely resident, Barbara we had some very special visitors trot in to make the day extra magical… PONIES! Yes, actual ponies — right here inside Oaktree Court Care Home🐎🎈

The joy on everyone’s faces was just beautiful. Residents lit up, staff had tears in their eyes, and even the ponies seemed to sense how special the moment was. From soft nuzzles to gentle strokes and lots of giggles, it was like a little bit of magic had walked into the building on four tiny hooves. 🥹✨
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. And a very, VERY happy 100th birthday to a truly wonderful woman. 🥳💝
