'A holistic approach to balance and well-being'
Specialised advanced remedial massage techniques, & Pilates based exercise tailored to your needs for pain & injury relief, musculoskeletal conditions, postural problems, relaxation & rejuvenation. One of the oldest forms of healing and physical therapy, corrective exercise and manipulation of the body's skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (connective tissue) encourage healing by promoting blood and lymph flow, relieving stress and tension, reducing pain receptors, encouraging endorphins, stimulating nerves, and stretching and loosening tight muscles. Whether pain is sudden, chronic, from a joint condition or pathology or even from inactivity such as sitting at a desk for prolomnged periods injury and tension cause micro trauma restricting blood flow and the essential nutrients necessary for normal muscle function. Surrounding muscles compensate by over working whilst others weaken causing imbalance, stiffness, immobility and painful postural compensations. Headaches, poor digestion, poor sleeping patterns, compromised immunity and general aches and pain can all follow. Regular treatment helps regain normal function to the muscles, encouraging healing, promoting body awareness, decreasing the chance of re-injury, resulting in freer movement, increased energy and a calmer state of mind conducive for healing and physical well-being.
