Due to a “protected learning” time session organised by Powys Local Health Board, the Practice will be CLOSED on Tuesday 11th November 2025 from 12:00pm. The phonelines will close from 12:00pm
For urgent care when the Practice is closed please phone 111.

Please be advised that due to planned road closures around the town implemented by SP Energy Networks over the coming weeks, your journey to the surgery may take longer than usual. Patients are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow additional travel time to their appointments.

⏱ Appointments ⏱

We are seeing an increase in patients who are not attending their pre-booked appointments or patients attending their appointments late. Whilst we understand that appointments can be forgotten or overlooked, we encourage patients to please contact the practice to cancel or rearrange their appointment as soon as possible so that we can offer your appointment to someone else who may need it. Please can also encourage patients to arrive on time for your appointment, failure to do so may mean you will not be seen by a clinician as they will not have enough time to complete their consultation with you.

💉 Flu Vaccination Update 💉

We have now started our flu clinics and they will continue to run throughout October. Thank you for your continued cooperation so far. We only have 5 minutes per appointment, so if you are attending one of our upcoming clinics, please read the below to ensure you are ready for your appointment:

🟢Please arrive on time for your appointment, DO NOT arrive early! All appointments are pre-booked and patients will be seen in time order so patients will not benefit from arriving before their booked time slot.
🟢 Please understand that our flu clinics are for flu vaccinations only we will not be able to offer any additional advice during your appointment.
🟢 Please wear appropriate clothing so that the vaccine can easily be given in your upper arm, and do not bring any unnecessary bags/clothing with you. Please remove your coats and have your arm ready to go into your appointment.

🚗 Car parking during our clinics 🚗

🔵We are expecting to vaccinate a high volume of patients per day and our car park will be exceptionally busy. We would greatly appreciate if patients attending the clinic can park elsewhere and walk if possible, and if residents and visitors could leave as many parking spaces clear as possible in the car park to support parking for our less mobile patients attending for their flu vaccinations.
🔵 We would also appreciate if patients can walk to our clinics if possible, and if driving/ being driven please lift share if possible to help manage our car park availability.

PAVO will be at the Community Fair in Llanfair Caereinion on Wednesday 3rd December, 10am - 1pm at Llanfair Institute. The fair will act as a great opportunity to promote your work and connect with local people.

📋Continuity of Care Questionnaire 📋

The practice is carrying out some work around the importance of “Continuity of care”. This is when you see the same GP at each appointment and form a therapeutic relationship with them. It means you get to know each other well. This is because there is a lot of evidence that seeing the same GP each time is just as important as seeing someone quickly.

We are exploring ways to improve continuity of care & your views about continuity and your experiences at the practice are important and will help to support the practice in identifying what they should focus on.
