💜 Meet Jess 💜

Jess is an essential member of our People Support team, serving as both the Team Leader for the Community Assessment Service and Area Manager for Carmarthen. Her dedication, leadership, and compassion shine through every part of her work, making a meaningful difference not only to the people we support, but also to the colleagues she works alongside.

In her dual role, Jess brings structure, stability, and heart to our community services. She leads with a calm, supportive approach—ensuring assessments are carried out with dignity, respect, and a deep understanding of each individual’s needs. Jess is known for creating an environment where staff feel confident, valued, and encouraged to grow. Her ability to balance professionalism with genuine care has strengthened the service and contributed to its continued development.

Jess also appreciates the flexibility of her job while she works toward her university degree👩‍⚕️

Jess’s commitment goes far beyond day-to-day responsibilities. She is deeply invested in the wellbeing of both staff and service users, and she works tirelessly to maintain a positive culture where everyone feels welcome and supported. Her leadership has helped shape the Carmarthen area into a thriving, compassionate, and highly effective part of People Support Wales.

“Working at People Support Wales, especially in the Ammanford branch since its opening, has been an incredible journey. I’ve loved being a part of its growth and am so grateful for the support I receive from the company—it’s truly a breath of fresh air. The opportunity to lead the community assessment service has been a great experience, helping me grow both professionally and personally. What I appreciate most is the positive and happy atmosphere created by everyone here. As I approach my third year as a nursing student in March, my experiences in the community have solidified my goal to work as a community nurse. I can’t imagine where I’d be without the support of everyone at this amazing company.”

Jen is a vital part of our People Support team, bringing warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to quality care into everything she does. With her wealth of experience in the care sector, Jen plays a key role in guiding, empowering, and uplifting our staff. She ensures that every team member feels supported, valued, and equipped to deliver the exceptional care our service users deserve.

Jen doesn’t just train staff — she inspires them. Her approach blends practical knowledge, compassion, and a genuine passion for helping others grow. Whether she’s delivering training, offering one-to-one support, or helping embed our values into everyday practice, Jen makes a real and lasting difference across our services.

Here’s what Jen loves about her role in People Support:

“‎People Support have given me the opportunity to share my many years of experience in care. Becoming Staff Support and Training Officer for People Support has brought together everything I am passionate about in one role. I believe that everyone deserves the very best care no matter what their circumstances are. People Support share that passion. Ensuring that the ethos of People Support is rooted in all we do and supporting staff to be the best care practitioners is an honour. We have an amazing team of which I am proud to be a part of. Seeing the difference we make to the lives of our service users and their families is so rewarding.”
