This week saw Steven heading to France to attend the renowned Sommet de l'Elevage where he was honoured to be invited to judge the Hereford cattle today.
Unfortunately due to outbreaks of Lumpy Skin Disease, a last minute decision was made to cancel the cattle section from the show so no cattle judging took place.
Steven met with some of the Hereford France Committee on their stand. We would like to thank Hereford France for their kind hospitality and look forward to returning next year, very much hoping for our European friends that the disease can be brought under control.

With the summer shows now behind us it was time for the Hereford Cattle Society UK annual dinner and awards ceremony held at Shrewsbury

A great chance to catch up with friends and fellow breeders and talk all things Hereford!!

we would like to congratulate all participants and winners on the evening, a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears goes into the breeding, rearing and showing of these cattle and this is reflected in the quality that was on show.

We were delighted to receive 2nd place in Horned heifer of the year with our own heifer Grianan Orange B008 purchased last year in the Genetic Gems sale from the Fitzgerald family.

To cap the evening off, 2 bulls that have been resident with us at Keadyview over the summer season received top awards….

Bawnlea Fighter Fury from Moralee Herefords achieved Horned Bull of the year

Creuddyn 1 Kingsize from Gwyndaf Davies took The Bull of the Year award

Congratulations to you both and a big Thank you for putting your trust in our team to bring these cattle on and turn them out, it’s been a pleasure to work with them

A big thank you to our team on the road and at home, and to all of our clients from this summer season, we look forward to working with you at the calf shows and 2026 season

We are home from what can only be described as an epic week at the Royal Welsh Show for not only our clients but for our own Keadyview cattle too!

A massive thank you to all of the team this week who have worked non stop over the 4 days of showing
