▫️Accurx makes it easier for you to access us when you are unwell.
Online requests bypass the need for you to spend time trying to contact us via telephone. It ensures that all patients are dealt with by the most appropriate member of staff within an appropriate timeframe.

▪️When you contact the Practice to book an urgent same day appointment, you will be asked to access our website to complete an online consultation form making sure you provide as much information as possible. Alternatively, our Reception Team will send you a text with the link to access the request form. Your request will be dealt with confidentially and delivered directly to the Welshpool Medical Team.

▫️Urgent same day appointment requests can be sent through from 8am-11am & 2pm-3pm (𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦). The exception of calling the Surgery outside of these hours for an urgent same day appointment request would be unwell children under the age of 16 and unwell Palliative care patients.

▪️Our Reception Team are still available via phone if you are unable to access the internet and procedures are in place for the form to be completed with you on the phone.

What happens to my request❔
Urgent medical requests are reviewed by a Triage Nurse. They will decide on the most appropriate action. This may include offering telephone or face to face appointments, advice or signposting to another service. If they need more information they will send an additional questionnaire. This is to help the team in dealing with your request more efficiently and quickly. Please complete in as much detail as possible.
All urgent medical requests will be dealt with on the same day.

▫️We also urge patients who have submitted an urgent same day request to keep checking their phones for a response. As in some circumstances you may be contacted for further information or to attend an appointment at short notice.
