Yoga & Creative Writing Day Retreat 💕
Sunday 19th April 2026 (9.30am - 7.30pm)
Whitehouse Health and Wellbeing, Guilsfield, nr Welshpool, Powys
Take a few steps back from the world for a day, unwind, and unleash your creativity at this day retreat. Writers and non-writers all welcome and the yoga will be suitable for all abilities, including beginners.
This is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people, letting your mind and your muscles relax and your creativity open up, while being thoroughly looked after by the lovely people at White House Health & Wellbeing. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome in the most relaxed of surroundings, with delicious home-cooked food, and hot and cold drinks available throughout the day.
Gail will guide you in meditation and some slow, flowing yoga to help you relax and open your mind to ideas.
Katharine will provide guidance and support with your writing if needed. Try your hand at creating a short-form piece, whether poetry, prose, or something in between. The aim is to enjoy the writing and see where your mind takes you. There will be a chance to share your work at the end of the day if you wish, but absolutely no pressure to do so.
Here is the (provisional) itinerary for the day:
9:30am - Drinks / light refreshment and Welcome Circle
10-10:45am - Gentle Yoga
11-12pm - Planning for Writing Workshop
12:15-1:30pm - Hearty, healthy lunch! (outside if weather permits)
1:30-2:15pm - Move, Breathe, Meditate
2:30-5pm - Writing (independent or with help from Katharine) in a place of your choice (outside, at a table, snuggled on a sofa etc)
5-6pm - Light meal/snacks
6-7pm - Sharing of work (if you wish)
7-7:30pm - Meditation/Relaxation and Setting Intentions
