✨ A Proud Evening at the House of Lords for Quantum Care ✨

On Monday 17th November, two of our Quantum Care colleagues including Coni Anang, Home Manager of Willow Court— had the honour of attending a special evening reception in the River Room at the House of Lords, in aid of Music for my Mind.

The event welcomed a number of distinguished guests, all united by a shared passion for improving the lives of those living with dementia through the power of music.

During the evening, Coni delivered a moving and powerful speech about the profound impact that personalised music can have on people living with dementia. Her words resonated deeply with the room — touching hearts, sparking conversations, and even bringing many to tears.

At Quantum Care, we are incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with Music for my Mind, whose research shows how personalised playlists can brighten mood, ease anxiety, and help rebuild precious connections for those living with dementia.

Our heartfelt thanks to Music for my Mind and the House of Lords for hosting such an inspiring evening — and to Coni for representing Quantum Care with such passion and purpose.
Together, we continue championing the life-changing role of music in dementia care.

It's never too late to try out new hobbies, which is what Anna found when she was introduced to finger knitting by Lisa, an activity co-coordinator from Garden City Court Care Home.

Finger knitting is a style of knitting that doesn't require any tools, and so far, Anna has made fantastic progress crafting this blanket. Each of our homes has dedicated activity co-ordinators who support residents to pursue their own hobbies and pastimes as well as discovering new ones.

🐶 Cuteness Overload at Courtland Lodge Care Home, Watford 🐶

On Tuesday, residents at Courtland Lodge enjoyed another heart-warming visit from Performing Pets. They arrived with an irresistible group of mini dachshund x toy poodle puppies which the residents adored and loved cuddling with.

Pete the French Bulldog also made a special appearance, proudly wearing her poppy outfit in support of Remembrance Day ❤️

In preparation for Remembrance Day, which falls on Sunday 9th November, resident Roy from Greenacres care home in Hatfield has been hard at work creating a heartfelt tribute to honour those who served.

Roy used chalk and paint for the background and recycled cola bottle ends to craft a stunning display of poppies. The finished piece is deeply moving and is proudly displayed within the home ❤️
