We wrapped up our Nutrition and Hydration Week with a refreshing and vibrant celebration! 🥤🍓 Our lovely residents enjoyed a variety of delicious and healthy drinks, including cranberry juice, orange juice , lemon and raspberry juice, as well as classic lemonade. Alongside the drinks, we prepared a colourful selection of fresh fruits such as watermelon, oranges, and a delightful fruit salad 🥗, making the day both nutritious and enjoyable

The atmosphere was bright and cheerful as residents gathered to taste the different flavours and stay hydrated in a fun and engaging way 😊💧. Everyone loved trying the refreshing drinks, sharing their favourites, and enjoying the fresh fruit together. It was a wonderful opportunity to promote healthy habits while creating a social and uplifting experience for all!

Our residents especially enjoyed the fruity drinks and the sweet, juicy watermelon 🍉, which was a big hit on the day. The celebration ended with smiles, laughter, and a great sense of wellbeing ✨, marking a perfect close to Nutrition and Hydration Week 🍓🍊💧

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a lovely session at our Painting Club ! The room was full of colour and creativity as everyone got involved in painting their own unique pieces. From soft blends to bold designs, each creation was a wonderful expression of personal style and imagination 🎨🖌️

There was a relaxed and friendly feel throughout the session, with residents chatting, laughing, and encouraging one another. It was a great way for everyone to spend time together while focusing on something calming and enjoyable 😆

Many of our residents particularly enjoyed experimenting with different colours and techniques, bringing their ideas to life step by step. The session finished with a fantastic display of artwork and a real sense of achievement ✨ A truly enjoyable and creative time for all! 🎨

🥧 What a delightful and creative Pie Day celebration we enjoyed at Heath Lodge Care Centre , filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of sweet treats

The day began with our wonderful residents gathering together for a hands on baking session, ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved. There was a real sense of excitement as everyone worked together to create banana custard pies and chocolate biscuit pies from scratch ✨

Flour was carefully measured and mixed as tart bases took shape, before being filled with smooth custard and fresh banana slices. Alongside this, melted chocolate and crushed biscuits were combined to create delicious chocolate biscuit pies, shaped with care and placed in the fridge to set perfectly 🍫

As the session continued, the room was filled with conversation, laughter, and fond memories of baking from years gone by. Residents enjoyed every step, from mixing and shaping to decorating, creating not just tasty treats but meaningful moments together 💟

To finish the afternoon, everyone sat down to enjoy their homemade creations with a warm cup of tea. The smiles said it all as the banana custard pies and chocolate biscuit treats were shared and savoured

It was a truly special Pi Day, full of creativity, connection, and delicious moments that will be remembered for a long time 🥧💫

☘️ What a truly unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebration we had at Heath Lodge Care Centre , filled with music, laughter, and wonderful moments shared together

As residents made their way into the lounge, they were greeted by a beautifully transformed space, full of vibrant green decorations, shamrocks, and festive touches that brought the spirit of Ireland to life. Smiles spread quickly as the excitement of the day began to build 💟

The atmosphere came alive as our fantastic entertainer Neil Patrick Entertainer began his performance. His lively music set the tone for the day, with residents singing along to familiar tunes and many getting up to dance, creating a joyful and energetic celebration 🎶

Throughout the afternoon, residents enjoyed a delicious selection of refreshments, including drinks, cakes, muffins, and snacks, with a touch of traditional cheer adding to the festivities. Laughter echoed around the room as everyone relaxed, chatted, and embraced the occasion together 🍰

It was especially heartwarming to see our home manager Michaela joining in, helping to create a truly inclusive and uplifting experience for everyone. The sense of community was clear as residents shared stories, sang side by side, and enjoyed every moment ✨

As the day came to a close, it was clear just how much the music, dancing, and togetherness meant to everyone. We ended the celebration with full hearts, happy memories, and plenty of smiles. A St. Patrick’s Day to remember for all ☘️💫

At Heath Lodge Care Centre , creativity was truly in full bloom as our wonderful residents came together for a vibrant and engaging tissue paper craft session, filling the room with colour, laughter, and imagination. From the moment the activity began, there was a real sense of excitement as everyone gathered to take part in something both creative and uplifting 🎨✨

Using an array of beautifully coloured tissue papers, residents enjoyed cutting, sticking, and layering their designs, bringing their ideas to life in their own unique ways. Some chose to create delicate butterflies bursting with bright, cheerful colours, while others crafted fun and eye catching watermelon designs, each piece reflecting personality, creativity, and joy🍉🦋

Throughout the session, the room was filled with conversation and laughter, as residents shared memories of past crafts, favourite colours, and creative experiences. There was something truly special about watching everyone choose their own colour combinations and see how the shades blended together, creating beautiful and sometimes unexpected results 💟

The simple joy of working with their hands, feeling the soft textures, and watching their creations come together brought smiles all around. Many residents beamed with pride as they admired their finished artwork and shared it with friends and staff, making the moment even more meaningful✨

🌸💗 Mother’s Day Celebration at Heath Lodge 💗🌸

On a bright and cheerful morning at Heath Lodge Care Centre , we welcomed our residents and their families to a very special Mother’s Day celebration. The lounge had been beautifully transformed with a pink-themed décor, filled with fresh flowers, soft ribbons, and colourful touches that immediately set a joyful and festive mood. From the moment everyone arrived, the room was buzzing with excitement and warmth, creating the perfect setting to honour the wonderful mothers in our care.

Our lovely residents spent the afternoon enjoying each other’s company, laughing, sharing stories, and taking photos to capture the memories of this meaningful day. The delicious refreshments added to the festive atmosphere with donuts, brownies, Swiss rolls, wine, tea, and soft drinks delighting everyone’s taste buds and providing the perfect accompaniment to lively conversation and smiles. 🍰🥂

The celebration included Pamela, Carol, Jeanine, Maureen, Aileen, Yvonne, Myrtle, Jean, Pat, Sylvia, and Theresa, all of whom helped fill the room with laughter, joy, and togetherness. Each resident brought her own personality and warmth, making the day feel personal, heartfelt, and full of love.

Every mother was presented with a small handcrafted gift including hand cream, a fresh flower, and a heartfelt card with a personal message. For residents who were bedbound, these gifts were thoughtfully delivered to their rooms so no one missed out on feeling appreciated and celebrated. 🌷💝

Heath Lodge Residents Come Together for Monthly Meeting

Our lovely residents at Heath Lodge Care Centre recently gathered for their monthly Residents’ Meeting, enjoying a relaxed and welcoming morning with a lovely cup of tea and tasty snacks. These meetings play an important role in giving residents the opportunity to share how they feel, discuss ideas, and talk about different topics that matter to them within the home ☕🍪😊

During the meeting, residents had the chance to enjoy friendly conversation with Home Manager Mihaela and Deputy Manager Monica. The warm and open atmosphere encouraged everyone to speak freely, share suggestions, and take part in meaningful discussions about life at the home. It was also a wonderful opportunity for residents to socialise and spend time together 💬🏡✨

A big thank you goes to the residents who attended and shared their thoughts, including James , John, Sylvia , Pamela, Jacqueline, Yvonne, Sharon, Jeanine, Maureen, and Aileen. Everyone had a great time chatting and catching up with one another, and the feedback from residents was very positive 🤝😊🎉

💜 A Joyful Birthday Celebration at Heath Lodge Care Home 🎂✨

Birthday celebrations at Heath Lodge Care Centre are always a wonderful time filled with happiness, laughter, and togetherness . This special day brought residents and staff together to celebrate some truly lovely milestones, creating a warm atmosphere with colourful decorations, cheerful birthday banners, and plenty of smiles all around 🎉🎈

We were delighted to celebrate John Emms, who turned 82, Sylvia Emms, who celebrated her 84th birthday, John Crisp, who turned 75, and Pat Anne Soni, who celebrated her 86th birthday 🎂🌟. Each resident enjoyed their moment in the spotlight, surrounded by friends, staff, and loved ones who made the day feel extra meaningful and memorable 💜

Residents enjoyed delicious birthday cakes and sweet treats as everyone gathered to sing, share stories, and enjoy the celebration together 🍰☕. Thoughtful birthday cards from family members added a very special touch, reminding everyone how loved and appreciated they are on their special day 🌸✨

It was also lovely to see Pat Anne Soni celebrating with her husband Madhu, sharing the moment together and creating a beautiful memory . The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and happy wishes as everyone took the time to celebrate each resident and the wonderful lives they have lived 🌟

Today at Heath Lodge Care Centre , our wonderful residents and staff came together for a truly beautiful and heartfelt celebration of International Women’s Day . Each woman held a card with a quote that best describes her spirit, personality, and unique contribution to our community . Seeing everyone share their stories, smiles, and laughter filled the home with an atmosphere of joy, pride, and togetherness 💐✨.

We celebrated women of all ages and backgrounds, from our inspiring staff who dedicate their hearts every day to our residents, to the remarkable women living at Heath Lodge who have shared wisdom, kindness, and memories that continue to inspire us all . The celebration reminded us why it is so important to honour, appreciate, and uplift one another every single day 🥰🌸.

Our residents and staff gathered together in the cinema room, where each resident was warmly welcomed with flowers by our carer Roney as a small gesture of appreciation . Kind words were shared to honour the strength, care, and love that each woman brings to our community . The afternoon continued with a delightful treat, including a special cake, delicious cupcakes, and jam cookies, accompanied by a choice of wine or refreshing soft drinks 🧁🍷🥤. Laughter, conversation, and joyful moments filled the room as everyone relaxed and enjoyed the celebration together 💜🌸.

To make the afternoon even more meaningful, we prepared a small activity where residents and staff could choose a phrase that best described them. Options like “I am a Queen,” “I am Loved,” and “I Care with Heart” encouraged everyone to reflect on their personality and spirit . It sparked lovely conversations, proud smiles, and lots of laughter as people shared why they chose their phrases ✨💐.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing how much our residents enjoyed every moment — from receiving flowers and sweet treats to sharing laughter and celebrating the strong women around them . Many residents said they loved the flowers and the chance to feel appreciated, while others enjoyed selecting their special phrases and celebrating with friends 🌟✨

Fun and Friendly Indoor Games Day!

There was plenty of energy and laughter in our home recently as residents came together for a fun indoor games session filled with basketball and ball toss activities. The games took place in our communal area where residents gathered with our team to enjoy some light exercise, friendly competition and lots of encouragement from one another🏀😊

Residents took turns aiming for the hoop during the indoor basketball game and testing their coordination with the ball toss, with everyone cheering each other on as they played. Each basket scored and every successful throw brought smiles, applause and plenty of celebration from the group. It was wonderful to see residents supporting one another and sharing in the excitement of the games 🎉👏

Many residents shared that their favourite part of the activity was the teamwork, the laughter and the chance to stay active while spending time together. Moments like these help create a lively atmosphere in the home while encouraging movement, confidence and social connection. It was a joyful activity that left everyone smiling and looking forward to the next game day🌟 💟
