Surrounded by friends and a warm, caring community, Joyce enjoyed a week tailored to her lifestyle, filled with meaningful activities that brought comfort, familiarity and happiness to her days. 💛

From relaxing moments reading books and newspapers to staying active on the treadmill and enjoying a lovely tea party, every activity was chosen to reflect her interests and create a truly personal celebration ☕

At Autumn Vale Care Centre in Welwyn, we recently came together for one of our monthly in house church services, held in the comfort of our cinema room, creating a peaceful and familiar space for reflection and togetherness ⛪

Supported by the The Church of England , these services are thoughtfully designed to offer spiritual support, comfort, and a sense of connection for our residents. As the service began, there was a calm and respectful atmosphere, with residents listening, reflecting, and taking part in a way that felt meaningful to them 🙏

Many of our residents find great comfort in these moments, enjoying the opportunity to engage with familiar prayers, hymns, and messages. It is a time that brings reassurance, peace, and a sense of belonging, supporting both emotional and spiritual wellbeing 💟

At Autumn Vale Care Centre , we recently welcomed families into the home for one of our regular relative meetings, a valuable time for coming together, sharing ideas, and strengthening our community 💟

Held every three months, these meetings are an important opportunity to connect with loved ones, whether they joined us through invitations sent by email, in person, or through notices around the home. The room was filled with open conversation, as we spoke about resident wellbeing and our plans for the months ahead, always focusing on how we can continue to improve life at Autumn Vale together 🌿

One of the most exciting discussions of the day was the vision to create a dedicated children’s play area, encouraging more intergenerational visits and bringing even more joy into the home. Families responded with enthusiasm and kindness, offering their support and sharing in the excitement of what this could mean for our residents and future visitors 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

At Autumn Vale Care Centre , our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to mark World Book Day. The visit to a local library gave everyone the chance to explore books, share stories, and spend time together in a calm and welcoming environment 💜

Reading and visiting places like the library play an important role in supporting our residents’ wellbeing and mental health. At Autumn Vale Care Centre we recently celebrated International Women’s Day by recognising the incredible women who form the backbone of our home. With almost 85 percent of the care workforce being female, their dedication, compassion and hard work ensure that our residents receive the care and support they need every single day 💜✨

Our in-house bar, Jimmy’s Bar, sponsored a special event to mark the occasion where we celebrated and awarded the three most notable women of the Autumn Vale family: Prarthana, Zoe and Cindy. Their achievement stories were shared with staff and residents alike, highlighting the positive impact they have on everyone in the home and how much their work is valued 🏆💜

The celebration was filled with inspiration as everyone shared stories about remarkable women in their lives. It was a joyful and uplifting event, reminding us all of the important role women play in supporting the wellbeing of our residents and creating a warm, caring environment every day🌸💜✨

Today at Autumn Vale Care Centre we celebrated Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day and took a moment to recognise the incredible hard work of our maintenance team. Residents and staff joined together to show their gratitude for Wilson, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the home safe, comfortable and running smoothly🌟💜

On behalf of the residents, George presented Wilson with a small gift as a token of appreciation for his dedication, reliability and all the help he provides every day. It was a lovely way to celebrate his hard work and let him know how valued he is by everyone in the home 🎁💜
