🌿 It’s OT Week! 🌿

We’re so lucky to have our very own Green Team — easily spotted in their signature colour and known for their big hearts — supporting patients, families, and loved ones at their greatest time of need. 💚

Each of our Occupational Therapists found their way into this career through personal experience or inspiration from others in practice — but they’re united by one shared passion: helping people live as well as they can, for as long as they can.

📍 Today the team are at MMUH — so head over and find out more about the incredible work they do, including:
✨ Fatigue, anxiety, and breathlessness management
✨ Complex discharge planning
✨ Advance care planning

While you’re there, we’d definitely recommend:
💆‍♀️ Asking one of the team to show you the M Technique — a simple, soothing touch technique for relaxation
🃏 Trying out the Go Wish activity — it’s a great way to reflect on what really matters to you at the end of life

Dr Bec Edwards is our team's speciality palliative care doctor and also works at MMUH for the stroke team. Today she was highly commended in the resident doctors award at SWB.

Her exceptional communication skills, strong leadership, compassionate approach to patient care and ability to negotiate complexity were highlighted in the nomination. We are proud to have her on our team!
