Hello, my name is Craig. I work as a wellbeing officer for SDCA (Sandwell Deaf Community Association).

This video is about the deafblind group on the 19th November from 1pm to 3pm.
The topic being discussed in the session will be how to use technology remotely, for example using Zoom or MS Teams. These meeting apps are useful for people that use BSL as a source of communication or for people who communicate through speaking.

As some of you may be feeling lonely, isolated, or don’t have guides, and it is also getting dark early now, so some of you may be feeling anxious about going out. This is where Zoom or MS Teams will become useful to still be able to connect with the deaf/deafblind community.

This session is to help you build confidence in being able to use these apps, as you may be feeling unsure how to use them, so this is a good opportunity to get some support in using them from us.

If you are interested in this session please come and join us. All you need to bring is your laptop or tablet so that the apps can be downloaded, and we will be happy to support you by teaching you the basics so that hopefully in the future you will be able to use them with ease.

If you have any questions about this session, feel free to contact me by text/video call/email.

Thank you for watching. Bye.

Hello, my name is Craig and I am a wellbeing coach for SDCA – Sandwell Deaf Community Association.

This video is about what’s going on in November. You may have seen from the poster that we have lots of groups, which are for Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people who live in Sandwell and the Black Country. There are groups for different ages ranging from children to adults.

Have a look and see if there are any you are interested in, and if you’re unsure, you can contact me by text, email or video call, and I’d be happy to help.

Thank you for watching.

Hello, my name is Craig. I am a wellbeing coach for SDCA – Sandwell Deaf Community Association.

This video is about our regular coffee morning, which usually takes place every month at The Interceptor in West Bromwich from 10am to 12pm.

Our next meeting was supposed to be on the 5th November; however, we have moved the dates, so the 5th November has been cancelled.

The next coffee morning will be in Tipton – they have a cafe there, and we will be meeting at Unity Brew Community Cafe on the 19th November, from 10am to 12pm. Come along and see what it’s like, and get together to have a nice chat.

If you’d like information on how to get there, such as buses, car parking, trams or other means of transport, please contact me and I have the details ready to hand out. If you have any questions, I’m happy to help.
