WEST LINTON residents along with a first responder group took part in a CPR training campaign last month.

Did you know 💡

There are 3 new public access defibrillators in the village!

Would you be able to apply one effectively and give CPR if the need arose? It only takes a short time to gain good technique, and it could save someone’s life, buying time before more help arrives.

West Linton Community First Responders will be taking part in the Save a Life for Scotland campaign on 1 October. The aim is to train as many people as possible in CPR, using a Youtube video created for this date, streaming through the day. The local group invite people to the Old Church Hall for the 2pm and 7pm sessions – but please arrive 10 minutes early for the set-up.

AND……. you could help create a new Guinness World record just by being there to learn CPR!

West Linton Community First Responders took part in an exercise this morning, with help from West Linton Golf Club and its members, to create a video demonstrating CPR. This is part of a larger collection of clips being put together by Save a Life for Scotland - showcasing the heart and soul of our communities.

Our group is looking for new members so please get in touch if you are interested. Or if you would like us to arrange a CPR training session within West Linton, just let us know!

West Linton Community First Responders Kirsty and Heather were presented with their Kings Medal tonight marking their voluntary service to the group. Congratulations too to Michael and Jean, who could not attend, but also received medals. We are so lucky to have these guys- and our newer responders- to support the community. Congratulations guys xx
