Memories popping up today from 9 years ago.
I miss the game….. but I do not miss the pain or the horrific deep black bruises all over my body, as well as being pretty much immobile for a couple days after a game. My colleagues were sick of seeing me hobble in every Monday moaning I can walk or breath 🤣
I do have some epic scars and long lasting injuries as memories of the fun had on the pitch.
The injuries:
Broken fingers & toes
Bruises in places you can’t even explain
Broken ribs
Torn ligaments & tendons in ankles
Torn calf muscle
Broken sternum - the A&E team thought I had been in a car accident from the nature of break and impact needed to cause such an epic break.
