When I wrote about breast implant flipping and it’s causes in 2011 and 48 years after implants were first introduced by my friend and mentor Dr Tom Biggs ( with Dr Cronin and Dr Gerow from Houston), it was hardly recognised or written as a complication. Ten years after my article, now breast implants are being made with a chip inside to confirm its orientation and more and more article are being published in America on the topic today. Dr Biggs wrote me 15 years ago that you will rewrite aesthetic surgery and I must admit, his encouragement has been very rewarding.
