Nuthatch Retreats

Nuthatch Retreats Using nature connection to support people’s wellbeing.

Nuthatch Retreats are a nature connect organisation set up by mental health and suicide prevention consultant Neil Peters. Using nature to support people’s wellbeing, we create opportunities for people to get outside, spend time in nature and take part in activities such as forest bathing, mindfulness, bird watching and walk and talks.

🙋‍♂️ Men of Merton!

London Borough of Merton’s Public Health team are working on strengthening Merton’s response to men’s mental health, wellbeing and su***de prevention.

I'm undertaking a rapid review of existing mental health and wellbeing support in the community for men in Merton, including a mapping exercise, undertaking stakeholder conversations to gather system‑level insights and speaking to services and grassroots organisations.

We'd be grateful for your local insights as a local man.

Please note that the information captured will be shared with London Borough of Merton.

Men’s mental health in the UK needs far more attention. Su***de is still the biggest killer of men under 50, and many struggle in silence due to stigma and expectations around “staying strong.”
By creating spaces where men feel able to talk, challenging outdated norms, and improving access to meaningful support, we can make a real difference. Supporting men’s mental health isn’t just a wellbeing issue—it’s a societal responsibility.
Let’s keep pushing for awareness, compassion, and change.
