What’s that rhythmic sound? 👂It's the unmistakable clack-clack-clack of Geta, traditional Japanese wooden sandals!

From my perspective as a Podiatrist, Geta are fascinating. They certainly don't offer the cushion or arch support of modern trainers, but the unique elevated sole encourages a different, more deliberate walking gait, which can promote better posture and calf muscle engagement. The wooden blocks also keep the feet cool and dry (depending on the weather of course)!

These are a beautiful piece of history and fashion, but like any footwear without full support, they need to be worn in moderation.
