Telephone Appointments

Please note that our appointment system means we must book a telephone call appointments for a specific time, for example 10:40 or 16:10 but we cannot guarantee this will occur at that specific time.

Telephone call appointments booked for a morning slot will take happen between 08:00 and 13:00. Those booked in an afternoon slot will happen between 13:00 and 18:30.

Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre opening in early 2026

Local people are being given an opportunity to find out more about the new Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre at community locations over the coming months.

The £16 million centre is due to open to patients in early 2026 and will bring real benefits to people living in the town and its surrounding areas.

To help keep local people up to date with progress on the development of the centre, representatives from the local NHS will be on hand at drop-in sessions taking place in and around Trowbridge to provide residents with information.

Members of the public will be able to see images of the new centre, learn more about what services will be moving to the site and how the new facility will benefit Trowbridge and the surrounding areas.

There will also be opportunities to ask questions and share feedback.

Sessions over the next few weeks are scheduled to take place as follows:

'Online booking of appointments'

Many patients will have seen the news reports advising about the requirement for GP surgeries to offer online booking of appointments as of 1st October 2025.

We would like to clarify that the requirement is that you must be able to 'request' an appointment online, not 'book' an appointment online. Many of our patients have already used our online option 'systmconnect' to do just this. In fact the Westbury Group Practice has had this option available to our patients for several years now.

From today, patients will be able to request appointments online throughout the day rather than calling their surgery or visiting in person.

Unfortunately this morning we are again experiencing IT difficulties, which appears to be affecting many GP Practices. Please bare with us whilst the problem is fixed.

The system is still not fully working, however we can now answer telephone calls and some staff have access to our system. Thank you for your patience.

We are experiencing major IT problems this morning, we believe this is a national problem that is being worked on urgently.

Unfortunately, we are not able to answer telephone calls or access our system until this is resolved.

We are having some new IT installed today at 1pm. This will impact on the surgery internet service and so our phones will not be working for approximately 15 minutes from 1pm.
