This is fabulous to see for those who have mobility issues or a pram or who just simply like a flatter surface.
So important to get out into the whispers of the woodlands!

The new Easy Access Trail on the Chart is now open.
In addition to the Family Activity Trail, the Friends of Limpsfield Common and the National Trust have installed an additional trail aimed at providing access for members of the community who need some support to visit the Common.
The new Easy Access Trail, which starts at the High Chart car park, is now completed. Thanks go to Julie Ludbrook, who is a member of the Tandridge Access Group, has MS and uses a mobility scooter, for trialling the new trail. Julie loved the route and thought it should suit most people's needs.
Julie said “It was a pleasure to test the Easy Access Trail and a big thank you to the Friends of Limpsfield Common for taking the time and effort to make what can often be an arduous trip very easy to use. I don’t get the chance to do this very often as there are not that many types of woodland that are accessible. It was wonderful using the trail on my mobility scooter and being out in the woods amongst nature”

Lovely to hold space for some of the staff at Royal Russell School today as part of a programme of activities for teachers and students under my work with Nuthatch Retreats.

Two mindful walks took place allowing them space and time to connect with nature and to breathe.

We basked in sunshine and bathed in the rain!

It is hard to give yourself permission for self-care sometimes when there are a million books to mark, everlasting to-do lists and lessons to plan.

But just giving yourself 20 minutes of a break in nature doing a mindful practice will actually aid concentration and ignite your intuition helping you achieve so much more than you can possibly imagine!

Becky Hemsley - Talking to the Wild
This should be the motto for this summer!

When did we all lose the thrill
Of running full-speed down a hill
Of marvelling at daffodils
Until the sun went down?

When did we stop spending days
On grassy verges weaving braids
Of plaited, fragile daisy chains
Until we’d made a crown?

When did we begin to lose
The urge to skip and race and move
‘Til we had scuffed our favourite shoes
All in the name of fun?

When was it that we forgot
Predicting ‘loves me, loves me not’
With flowers from a wild plot
That grew beneath the sun?

And when did we begin to miss
The chance to stop and make a wish
With dandelions clocks we’d picked
That grew beneath our feet?

Well I for one do not believe
That we forgot how all that feels
But life at some point took the wheel
And freedom took back seat

It seems that it got left behind
And buried ‘neath the daily grind
But it’s still there for us to find
At any time we want

So climb a hill then run back down
Weave yourself a daisy crown
Then blow your wishes to the clouds
Because life’s too short
to stop

Do you know your moths from your butterflies?!

How many differences can you identify?
Who is the hairiest?
Who has club shaped antennae?
Who is bright and colourful?
Who comes out at night?
Who grows in a cocoon?!
The kids on HAF Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum with Cudham Environmental Activity Centre are a super clever bunch! They can tell you all about them!
