The West Gate is a 50 bed home, with a dynamic team providing nursing care for those with dementia and mental health difficulties, where the comfort and safety of our residents is our priority. We provide a homely environment and high standards of accommodation with single rooms, many of which are en-suite facility. The home is currently having refurbishment works throughout. The Home is conveniently located, no more than five minute walk from the small coastal town of Westgate-on-Sea, near Margate in Kent, enjoying easy access to shops, cafes, cinema, library and churches, as well as the sea front promenades

Congratulations to Fred, it has been our honour to celebrate his birthday, and present him with his royal card from King Charles III as he reached the grand old age of 100 today. He has enjoyed a wonderful party organised by our fantastic activities team, surrounded by his family and friends. It has been our pleasure to care for Fred over the past 9 months and we look forward to the months yet to come. Photos of the festivities will be posted in the coming days.

We would like to show some well deserved recognition to 2 of our our Activities Team, Jess and Miriam, as we have received the following compliment via email, from a member of the public after seeing them with some of our residents during a trip out to a local cafe. We are so proud to have you in our team and cannot thank you enough for the work you do for our residents. Keep up the good work ladies:

Dear Team ,

I was in the Beano Cafe in Westgate on Thursday lunchtime when some of your clients and staff came in for lunch . I wanted to write in and say how very impressed I was with the wonderful care and attention given to the the clients throughout. It was such a pleasure to see the level of engagement and laughter amongst this small group and the loving care expressed. I asked the staff for their names as I really feel they deserve commending and celebrating as a great asset to your company and to the field of care. I can honestly say not once did I see the staff either Miriam or Jessica checking their mobiles, holding a conversation aside from their clients or looking anything other than fully involved and concerned with ensuring their clients were happy and comfortable. They modelled exemplary values and personalised care. Well done to them, what a great difference to lives you are making Miriam and Jessica!
