February half term is here and there are plenty of events happening to keep everyone happy.

Northam Burrows Activities include a free hands-on session at the Visitor Centre focusing on harvest mice on 17 February. And another lovely activity for families is the rockpool ramble on 19 February. Take the opportunity to explore the coastline at Westward Ho! Slipway with experts from the North Devon Coast National Landscape.

Everything is weather dependent, so if you’d like to stay dry you can always visit the museum at the Burton Art Gallery. This is a vibrant, family friendly hub in Bideford and entry is free. There is also the Annual Schools Exhibition currently showing in the art gallery.

This Saturday, 13 December, Children's Hospice South West will be hosting their Carols by Candlelight at the Bideford Pannier Market.

An evening of merriment begins at 6pm.

Christmas readings
Light a candle for someone special
Father Christmas
Mince pies and mulled wine
Drinks and hot food available including North Devon Hog Roast
Admission is free, with donations gratefully received.
