A dementia specialist care home providing care and support using a person-centered approach. At Butterfly House we use a team approach to dementia care.

Our care home is designed to provide the best possible environment for people living with dementia. With a traditional setting and period features, our beautifully appointed home is located in the hillside area of Weston-super-Mare. Our person-centered philosophy, where service users are encouraged to participate in all areas of the home, seeks to provide the best opportunity to maintain independence and encourage stimulation.

Your voices made such a difference for our residents. They enjoyed the songs, the sing-along, and most importantly, that warm feeling of belonging to the community. We are so grateful!🌟❤️

The cold and rainy days are here 🌧️, but our residents are keeping warm and happy indoors 🏡✨. There’s plenty of creativity in the air as everyone enjoys painting and making lovely Christmas decorations 🎨🎄.

Afternoons have been cosy with movies 🎬, warm drinks ☕, and tasty snacks 🍪. Spirits are high, and festive cheer is spreading through the home 💖🎅.

We’re feeling festive already and looking forward to a joyful Christmas season! 🎁✨

Our staff proudly wear their poppies, and our residents will be watching the Remembrance Day program on BBC.

At 11am, we’ll all pause together for a moment of silence — to honour, reflect, and remember those who gave so much. 🌹

It’s so important to know your history and keep their stories alive. 🕊️

🎃 Happy Halloween from Butterfly House! 👻🕸️

What a fantastic (and slightly hectic!) day it’s been — but we made it, and it was worth every moment! 💪🧡

Our amazing team joined in the fun with a best costume contest 🧛‍♀️🧙‍♂️, a treasure hunt 🔍🍬, and a “guess how many candies” game 🍭 — plenty of smiles and friendly competition all around!

Throughout the day, staff were busy entertaining residents and spreading that spooky Halloween cheer. In the afternoon, we hosted a sweet tea party across all three lounges ☕🧁, where residents enjoyed spooky cakes 🎂 and sparkling drinks ✨🥤.

The home was full of colour, fun, and a wonderful festive spirit — a truly memorable Halloween at Butterfly House! 🦋🎃🌟

🎃 Pumpkin magic in the making! 👻

Our residents got creative carving pumpkins for tomorrow’s Halloween celebrations. Each one turned out unique — some cute, some spooky, all full of character! 🕷️🕸️

The pumpkins are now ready to light up the home and set the perfect Halloween mood. Everyone can’t wait to see them glowing tomorrow! ✨🧡

🍂 Autumn Wanders with Our Residents🍂

This autumn has brought lovely moments and gentle adventures for our residents — each outing filled with warmth and good company ✨

🏛️ A visit to Weston Museum offered a wonderful look into the new exposition, sparking memories and quiet reflections as residents explored the displays and stories of the past.

🍺 The Gentlemen’s Club was a fine afternoon out — pints enjoyed, conversations flowing, and that sense of easy companionship that makes such gatherings special.

🎄 Our trip to the garden centre added a touch of festive sparkle, with residents admiring the early Christmas decorations, bright lights, and ornaments shining with seasonal charm.

Between autumn’s golden calm 🍁 and the first hints of Christmas glow ✨, our residents are making the most of every moment together.. ❤️
