🎄 Enjoy a Safe, Happy Christmas – Over 65? Get Protected Against Flu🎄

With less than three weeks until Christmas, when many of us will be spending more time indoors with family and friends, it’s important to get protected against flu.

If you’re 65 or older, or care for someone who is, please make sure you get your flu vaccine as soon as possible. And if you know someone aged 65 or over—a parent, grandparent, friend—please encourage them to get vaccinated too.

It takes about two weeks for the flu vaccine to give the best protection, so don’t wait—book your appointment today and help keep yourself and your loved ones safe from severe illness this winter.

We will be sharing the walks on Fridays from now on so you have plenty of time to plan your week.

Walks are led by volunteers that are there to make walks enjoyable and safe. and they are FREE!
Just arrive 10 minutes earlier than time given below if you are a new walker.

Community Connect North Somerset provides help and support to people living in North Somerset who are aged over 50, offering information, advice or guidance to help them stay living independently at home.

Plus they also run regular tech sessions at GP surgeries, giving help to download the NHS app and access the GP websites, to enable patients access to their health records, book appointments and repeat prescriptions. Contact your surgery to book a slot and follow Community Connect North Somerset to stay up to date with their latest news!

Did you know that our intrepid Digital Inclusion Officer, Evan, travels to various doctors surgeries in North Somerset offering support to patients to help them download the NHS app and access the GP websites, to enable patients access to their health records, book appointments and repeat prescriptions without the need to to visit or call the surgery to do so!
