Our Director Jayne visited the magnificent SS Great Britain last week and listened to various talks from the Royal Osteoporosis Society- including Craig Jones (their inspiring CEO). 🌞

They are making great progress considering its a small charity with only 30 employed! The talk included information about trying to capture those who are not yet diagnosed.

The effect of osteoporosis on our population is massive - ‘Half of women aged over 50 will break bones due to osteoporosis, and a fifth of men.’ (ref- the Royal Osteoporosis Society 24.09.25)

‘Getting help early on can make a world of a difference to outcomes.’

They have recently launched their Osteoporosis Risk Checker which we have linked below for anyone interested.

Dawn Towell is one of our three outstanding acupuncturists at Cowan House and she has been practising here since 2022!🌻

Dawn graduated with a BSc Honours Degree in Acupuncture from Kingston University. Additionally, she has undertaken further postgraduate courses, including Channel Theory, Musculoskeletal issues, Cancer Support and Facial Acupuncture.🏆

Our acupuncturists are here throughout the week helping with allergies, chronic pain issues, fertility, long covid - the list is endless!
