Sitting for a long period of time is a form of sedentary behaviour, which is associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and premature mortality, so it’s more important than ever that home workers get their bodies moving when they can.

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Pilates and Yoga?

Pilates and Yoga are two forms of exercise that are often grouped together and mistaken for one another.

They share similarities – both are low-impact, performed on a mat, and offer benefits such as improving strength, flexibility and mindfulness, but why not come and find out for yourself?

I run Pilates classes at Bleadon Coronation Halls on Fridays from 10.30am - 11.30am and everyone is welcome!

The first class is on me and if you enjoy it, you can sign up to a rolling contract, which includes weekly classes and access to On Demand classes too.

Did you know, Pilates is a great way to improve your sleep quality and help get your fitness levels back up if you’ve been out of the game for a while?

It’s also a great way to meet new people and, for all the new mums out there, it can help improve your abdominal muscles too.

Pilates has varied routines and scalable difficulty levels, which helps keep things interesting. A monotonous routine quickly becomes very boring, so Pilates will keep you on your toes (literally!) and keep you coming back for more.

I am back & raring to go after a lovely break 😀.

Clinic has reopened & all Pilates classes are on this week as normal!

I am fully booked in clinic but there are some appointments available next week if you are struggling with an injury or pain or just fancy a sports massage...

This week in Pilates we are concentrating on getting the body moving again so will be combining mobility, strength & stability exercises to get back into things after the Christmas break. There are opportunities for a free taster session on Friday 10.30-11.30am in Bleadon Coronation Halls if you would like to come along & give it a try, suitable for all levels of experience!!
