Gas works along the B6263 Wetheral-Cumwhinton road are having a devastating effect on the business in these villages, all of which have seen a monumental drop in trade since the road closed signs went up. Although the road closures are indicated from Jct. 42 and the A69, the villages ARE currently accessible to normal traffic and the businesses remain open as usual. January is already a very difficult trading time for businesses, and small businesses especially. Please do continue to support them if you can (or try them out if you're a potential new customer!) These businesses are vital to our community and are really suffering at the moment.

The Parish Council has been in touch with Cumberland Council to request that improvements be made to the signage along the road to make it clearer where the actual closure is (currently only close to Cumwhinton after the Wetheral Pastures turnoff, we believe) and that the villages and business can still be reached.

Not a post I like to make, but unfortunately I have had to make the difficult decision to increase my price for The Bowen Technique.

From the 1st April
• 1st sessions of Bowen will be priced at £50

• Follow up treatments (within 6 months of your last treatment) will be priced at £45

• Block of 4 follow up treatments will be £170
